Finding the Avatar: Water (Bnha x Avatar reader insert)

Chapter eleven

"We can't leave the weapon!" Kirishima cried as you proposed a plan to him. You sighed. 

"I don't want to leave the weapon either, but I think we have to. Kaminari and Jirou are my friends and I know what they'll do. Jirou will locate us using her earphone jack and then send Kaminari alone to electrocute us! Not only will we be a beacon to our payload, but it also allows our opponent to decide how the battle goes." You tried to explain calmly but quickly to him. "We have to ambush them before they split up. If we do that Kaminari will be too afraid to use his quirk for fear of harming his teammate. Our quirks our more combative than their's." 

"And using his own concern for his teammate against him is very villainous, which is what we're supposed to be!" Kirishima was finally getting the idea. "If you think this plan will work than I'll go along with it!" 

"Good!" You showed Kirishima the map that All Might had given you. "Now, here's what we're gonna do. It's probably best to ambush them at a place we're certain they'll go, so I've picked this spot near the stairs. They'll definitely need to be there at some point. I'm not sure how close Jirou has to be to hear with her quirk, so we'll need to ambush them as soon as possible. I want you to distract them both for a moment so I can freeze ice over the doorways to prevent their escape. Then we hit them with the capture tape. I want to wrap up the battle as soon as possible." 

"And whatever we do we can't let them split up, because then Kaminari can use his quirk!" You nodded at Kirishima's observation. "Wow, this is a smart plan!" 

"Thanks," you resisted the urge to blush. "I wouldn't have been able to come up with it if they weren't my friends." 

"That kind of sucks!" Your smile faltered. "But whatever helps I guess?" 

"We're villains! Now let's go before time runs out!" You both grabbed your capture tape and headed out to your decided positions.

"I can't believe they're both leaving the payload like that." Yaoyorozu commented from the monitoring room where everyone else was observing your match. 

     "It's because she knows Jirou can locate them using her earphone jack. If they're away from the weapon she can't find it as easily." Tsu cleared up Yaoyorozu's confusion and she nodded. 

     "I suppose that makes sense, it still seems a bit foolish to just leave it behind." She clearly had qualms with what the two of you were doing even though she now understood the reasoning behind it. They then watched as you and Kirishima waited to ambush the hero team. You were currently gathered water out of the air to use in addition to the stored water in your costume. 

     "Ikeyuri has an impressive amount of control over her quirk! It's so cool how she just pulls water out of nowhere!" Ashido exclaimed and a few others nodded. 

     "She's not pulling water from nowhere, she's using the moisture in the air." Todoroki said and everyone looked at him in shock once again. "It likely took years of practice." 

     "It's time for the hero team to go!" All Might announced, interrupting the conversation before it could go any further. It was time for the real battle to begin.

You waited for your opponents to arrive, trying to make as little noise as possible. It was incredibly hard not to jump up and down, adrenaline rushing through your veins. It felt like you were playing a hardcore game of hide and seek. 

Finally you heard them approaching, and you began to silently pray to the spirits that they wouldn't figure out you were there. You should have lit some incense or something this morning before school for their help, but you forgot. Oh well. You prayed anyway.
