Chapter 31- Fat Ass In The Way

"Ice skating anyone?" I asked my group of friends, as we sat at our original place in the cafeteria.

"Ice skating?" Andre questioned confusedly. "Is this a thing of yours? You know, just step in one day and pick something to do when you're bored."

"Next thing you know, she'll walk in one day and decide to take us to Mars and become best buddies with the Aliens who live there," Elliot commented.

"Of course I wouldn't do that." I scoffed. "Although that's not a bad idea," I mumbled as they both arched a brow at me proving their point. "That not the point," I snapped, clearing my head. "Are you all up for it or what?"

"What's this even for?" Andre asked cautiously.

Through out watching Vivian and Adrian bicker about how irritating they both were, my mind decided to go elsewhere. And it decided to locate itself on my bucket list. Ice skating just so happened to be needed to be ticked off next.

"Bucket list." I smiled, and they all understood.

"When do you want to go?" Adrian questioned.

"Tomorrow after school," I suggested.

"Why tomorrow after school. Why not on Saturday or something?" He wondered, furrowing his eyebrows.

Because that's the day of your birthday you douche!

He clearly forgot about his own birthday, implying that he didn't want to do anything for it, or even be reminded of it. Well too bad for him because he was going to get a surprise party whether he liked it or not.

My eyes widened, imitating everyone's expression on the table as we urgently tried to think of an excuse. "Well ... uhm-"

"I can't because I have an appointment," Elliot reasoned.

"An appointment?" Adrian asked suspiciously. "Since when do you out of all people have appointments?"

"It's for the rash on my butt, they're prescribing me with some ointment."

"He's got a really big rash. When I say big, I mean big," Vivian emphasised. "I've seen it. It's all red and flakey and-"

"Okay, okay we understand. No need to give a whole description." Adrian winced.

"What about the rest of you?" He looked at us.

"I'm getting my nails done," Vivian lied.

"But didn't you get your nails done yesterday?"

She scanned her nails, pretending to hate them. "Yeah well I want to change them again. Pink isn't my shade."

"What about you Mila?"

"I can't." I faked a sigh. "I promised dad I'd spend the day with him."

At least my excuse was believable.

Fortunately, he gave in, somehow believing all of our excuses, missing Andre out. But even though he missed him out, he just had to answer.

"I have to make sure my nanna doesn't die," Andre said quickly, snapping all of our heads in his direction. "What?" He shrugged. "She's an old woman, she could die at any moment."

"So tomorrow after school it is?" I questioned again for the last time with everyone agreeing.

All except for one.

"I don't know ..." Andre glanced at his empty plate. "I'm pretty shit at it."

"Oh c'mon, you're not that bad," Elliot said.
