I'm walking home after a long day at work and it's pretty late. I had to work overtime today. While walking home I notice someone behind me and at first I brush it off thinking I'm just being paranoid. But after turning a few roads and trying to walk a little faster I realise that this guy is actually following me. I start to panic constantly looking over my shoulder to see him still following me. As I'm almost at running speed trying to lose this guy I bump into someone. "Oof" I almost fall onto the floor but I feel two arms wrap around my waist preventing me from falling into the rough pavement. When I find my footing and the person lets me go I apologise profusely. I then remember there was a guy following me so I panicky look behind me. I spot him walking slower but still lingering. "Um are you ok?" The stranger asks. I look up at her ripping my sight from the creepy guy. With fear in my eyes I say "Um not really there's this creepy guy following me..😰" She then looks in the direction I was staring at before and I see her features change to a look of alertness. She then wraps an arm around my shoulders and asks me to walk with her. I obey already feeling slightly safer then if I was alone. She attempts to make small talk. "So Im Marthe, how about you?" She asks looking down at me since she's a lot taller than me. "My name is Y/N.." I answer fear still evident in my voice. "Hey, I'm gonna check if he's still following us so I'm gonna pretend we're taking a selfie ok?" She whistlers to me. I nod in response trying to get rid of most of the fear displayed on my face even though my heart was beating very quickly scared. She takes her phone out and puts it in selfie mode, we don't see the guy but we stay cautious. Marthe then suggests "Hey so to make sure the guys isn't still following us wanna go to a bar near by that a friend of mine owns? We can hang out there for a while so we know he can't follow us home?" My eyes widen at the thought of the creepy guy finding out where I lived. I then manage to let out a soft "Yea ok". When we got to a more crowded area when reaching the bar I start to calm down a bit. We hung out at the bar for an hour or so, getting to know each other to pass the time. "So what are you doing out so late?" Marthe asks. "Worked over time. You?" I ask. "Was just taking a walk🤷🏻‍♀️." We talk more and we are smiling and laughing enjoying each other's company when Marthe's friend approaches us asking if we both wanted a ride home so we know for sure no creepy guys could follow either one of us home. We both agreed. When I was getting dropped off at my house Marthe got out of the car and went to open the backseat door for me.I gave her a confused look but smiled at her anyways "What a gentleman😉." I say before giggling 😂. She looks at me with a smirk😏. When we got to my door Marthe and I exchanged numbers then I surprised her by hugging her and mumbling a "Thank you." into her chest. She hugs me back after recovering from the surprise hug and says "Your welcome😉." I blush when she winked at me. As she walked over to the car I say loud but not too loudly "Text me when you get home!" Waving at her. She waves back saying "I will!" I smile then unlock my front door to go inside..I can't wipe of the wide smile on my face. When I got inside I realised I forgot to thank her friend for the ride, I quickly got out my phone and texted her 'oh yea help me thank your friend for the ride home!'
