Imagine Marthe is at a modelling shoot and you wanted to surprise her and pick her up. As you walk in you hear some yelling you find that unusual so you start to walk faster into the set. Then as u brisk walked in u see the photographer shouting at your girlfriend Marthe. You go into protective mode and walk straight up to the photographer and pushed him away from her as he looks a bit too close. You so badly wanted to punch him in that moment but didn't know the consequences and how that might effect Marthe's gig. So you stood in front of her defensively and glared at the photographer. Marthe from behind you looked up abruptly realising the shouting stopped. You may be shorter than her but she knows how intimidating you can be in protective mode. She then slowly puts a hand on your shoulder knowing it will help get u back to your senses and know to walk away instead of getting into a fight you know you can't win. You then take a deep breath in and grab Marthe's hand and walk away from the photographer. As soon as you both are away from the scene she hugs you tight and you hug her back even tighter. Softly you ask "Are you okay?" You feel her shake her head as to say no. She then walks slowly to a chair to sit down while still hugging you. She sits and you are still standing but you know what she needs at this moment. She hugs you tight and nuzzles into your chest and cries. You stroke her hair as you tell her "Your gonna be ok." Soon she calms down and she softly says "What would I do without you?" I respond by kissing her forehead. "I love you so much" she then says. "I love you too" I say. "Come on let's go get some ice cream." I suggest and she smiles at me lovingly. "There's that smile I love and adore" I say.
