Marthe and I had 2 hours of time to kill before we were suppose to get home and despite both of us hating scary movies. We decided to watch one because no other movies were available. We already walked around the mall multiple times and found nothing to do. We both hated scary movies cause we would jump at every small thing. Why did we decide this was an ok idea? I have no idea. Why did we think 'ehhh how bad can it be🤷🏻‍♀️'. Oh how wrong we were. Every jump scare we jumped and sometimes screamed. We both held onto each other for dear life. My hand shook so much I decided to put our drink and food on a seat next to us so I wouldn't spill or throw it by accident during a jump scare. At the end of the movie we just stayed in our seats for a while trying to calm our hearts from beating so fast out of fear. When the workers at the theatre told us we needed to leave we shakily got out of our seats. I took our bucket of popcorn and passed it to Marthe who just hugged it and snacked on it panic eating. I held our drink taking a sip every so often. We slowly walked to leave the mall and go home but when we looked out of the mall window we realised it was getting dark. "Oh shit." I said looking at how dark it was getting. Marthe takes out her phone and starts to call someone. I listened while she said "Yea hi Julie, um so can you I know us up from the mall?" ... "Um yea so we watched a scary movie and it's getting dark and we're too scared to walk home." ... "Ok thank you Julie. Byeee see you soon." Marthe then hangs up the phone then turns to me with more relief on her face. "Julie's coming to pick us up." Marthe tells me. I breathe a sigh in relief "Oh thank god." I say. When Julie comes to pick us up we got into the car and instantly felt a lot better. "What were both of you thinking when deciding watching a scary movie was a good idea??" Julie questioned us before starting to drive home. We just looked at her and shrugged our shoulders having no idea why. Julie sighed but laughed at our stupidity.
