I was coming home from a long day hanging out with friends and I couldn't want to get into some comfortable clothes and laze round at home. I got into the lift to go up to my apartment and on the way up the lift picked up another person. I've seen her a few times before, her friend lives in the same building so I would sometimes see her at the front desk or on the lift. I saw her around but never approached her to start a conversation. We were a few levels away from my level the lift stopped abruptly. I instantly looked up from my phone getting scared. I slid down one of the walls if the lift suddenly feeling as if I couldn't breathe, I've never gotten stuck in a lift before and I didn't know what to think. The woman I was with in the lift was pressing the call button in the lift trying to find ways to get help but I didn't even notice any of that as I started hyperventilating. Soon the woman took notice of my in a fetal position on the floor hyperventilating, she squatted beside me and put a hand on my back. I flinched back at first forgetting where was and not expecting anyone to touch me. When I saw her I calmed down a little as she noticed me get less tense so she put a hand on my back and rubbed it soothingly and said "Hey your ok, here breathe with me." Soon I calmed down and say "Sorry about that..ive never been stuck in a lift before😅." "Hey it's ok. By the way I'm Marthe. What's your name?" Marthe says softly. "My name is Y/N." I say but then blurt our without thinking "You have beautiful eyes." My hand instantly go to cover my mouth not believing I let that slip. I blush profusely scared to look into her eyes but she just chuckled and say "Thank you." When I look at her again she's looking away and I see a light blush on her cheeks. She then gets up to try pressing the call button on the lift to try to get help but there was no answer. She then say back down beside me. We had some small talk getting to know each other. We played some music and shared memes with each other trying to pass the time till we got saved. The whole time whenever things got a little quiet it wasn't because of it being awkward but it was because we were both staring at each other without the other knowing. At times it would be me staring at how beautiful she was and finding it how cute she looked with she smiled and I would only snap out of my trance like state of admiring her when I would see her going to look at me or when she found a funny meme to show me. But other times it would be her staring at me while I picked a good song to share with her. And as obvious and both of us could be neither of us noticed the other was staring, somehow. We laughed and took some pictures together for a while enjoying our time with each other forgetting that we were even stuck in a lift. Soon we heard a guys voice through the intercom saying that help was coming in 15 minutes. Marthe said "Ok" back out loud just so they will know that we were still in the lift and ok. But Marthe and I weren't bothered by the fact that we were stuck anymore we were just so comfortable talking to each other and getting to know each other more and more. Eventually the doors opened and we got out. We both headed to the stairs to go up to our apartments. We reached my floor first so I waved her goodbye and said "See you again soon😁." She waved back and said "You too😆!" When I got home as soon as I closed the door I slid down my door with a big smile on my face and in awe of what just happened, I only got up again when my cat came to me meowing for food. Marthe on the other hand couldn't stop thinking about Y/N and when she got up to Julie's house before Julie could ask where she was for the past few hours she asked "Hey you know your neighbour Y/N? What unit does she live in?" Marthe only noticed her mistake when she say Julie smirk at her. "Ooo does someone have a crush?😏" Marthe just replies with a blush.
