Marthe has been away for work for a month now and we've been video chatting everyday. Today instead of a FaceTime notification I get a call from Marthe instead. When I answer the call, before I could even say hi Marthe starts to ramble on and on "I'm so sorry I can't video chat I accidentally dropped my phone and it landed on the screen and the camera is fucked up. I'll get it fixed as soon as I can. I'm so so sorry." "Marthe! Baby! It's ok calm down." I say trying to stop her rambling. "But it's not ok I can't see you and you can't see me." Marthe says back in a apologetic tone. "Babe?" I start making sure she's listening to me. "Yea?" Marthe answers trying to calm down. "It's ok that we can't video chat cause your phone camera is smashed. I'm just glad your phone still works and I can still hear your voice." I say slowly and softly so she will hear every word. "But I wanna seeeee youuuu.." Marthe whines. I giggle then say "Don't worry I'll send you lots of pictures..just for you." I reassured her. "Ok.." she said in a time of voice I knew she was blushing without even being able to see her. She knew I hated to take selfies and photos of myself but would occasionally send her some when I had days I felt I looked ok. She then mentions "Oooo is that my '🌹babygirl ' playlist I hear in the back?" I giggle surprised she noticed and said "Yea☺️." She knew I loved all of her playlists. "Can you make it a little louder please.." Marthe asks a bit shyly. "Of course Baby." I say. I turn up the volume a little higher and Sunday Best by Surfaces was on at the moment. We both started to sing and jam out to it. We talked and jammed out till late. At around 12 midnight we had been on call for 2+ hours now and we i was laying in bed falling asleep. Marthe was more awake then I was because of the time difference and was still humming to some songs on another playlist of hers. I just laid there with the phone beside my ear as I drifted off to sleep listening to Marthe's calming humming.
