Walking Home Alone But Paranoid

I was at the mall with friends hanging out and lost track of time. I then get a text from Marthe asking me "Bby, are you coming home soon?" when I read that I looked at the time and saw it was 12:30am I thought 'Oh shit' I then quickly texted her back "Sorry bby, I lost track of time. I'll make my way home now." I then told my friends that I promised Marthe I wouldn't be home too late and left. I blushed as I walked off because they were teasing me being in love and all. I took a bus that went all the way home, listening to music and sending Marthe a few texts on the way to make sure she didn't worry. When I got off the bus I had a chilly feeling and looked around the bus stop getting a bit scared. I quickly text Marthe "Yikes why does it seem more creepy then usual." Cringing a little to myself. Marthe then sends back a "ARE YOU OK? DO YOU NEED ME TO PICK YOU UP?" I quickly respond "I'll be fine. I'm already so close to home it's a very short distance left." My hands shake a bit while typing but didn't want to inconvenience her. I was sure she was at home in her pjs waiting for me to come home. I then see Marthe trying to call me, I sigh not wanting to trouble her but also relieved that I wouldn't feel so alone walking home. I answer the call and I hear Marthe yell "Where are you baby? I'm coming to get you." "I'm walking home from the bus stop." I say back. I then look in front of me and soon see a tall figure running towards me. At first I got scared and was frozen but then as she got closer I realised it was Marthe. My fear washed away and I started to chuckle picturing an anime character running towards another character. I stopped walking and waited for her to stop in front of me. When she stopped in front of me and bent down holding her knees panting a little I said while still chuckling "You know you didn't have to run out to get me right? I would have been fine walking a short distance home." I say hiding the fear I had before. "You know your voice was shaking just now right?" She shot back at me but giving me a slightly concerned look. "I look down in slight shame realising I got caught. "Yea I was kinda scared..but I walk here all the time and I didn't want to trouble you 👉👈." I say shyly. Marthe then get up from trying to catch her breath and kisses me on my forehead and says "Baby you could never trouble me. Next time if your unsure if your safety don't hesitate to call me ok? I don't care if I'm already sleeping or in my pjs or even out somewhere else, you call me and I'll be there." I blush then say "I know..but also you may be braver than me but you know I would do the same for you right?" I ask shyly. She chuckles and then says "I know baby." She then takes my hand in hers and interlocks our hands and we begin our slow peaceful walk home, her kissing my hand a few times while we walk and me blushing every time. 🥰🥰
