Inspired by Marthe's tiktok with the song She by Dodie but Y/N's POV

Marthe and I are on vacation together as friends we both secretly like each other but are too afraid of ruining the friendship we had. I recently came out as bisexual so Marthe suggested we go to the bar at the hotel. "Come on maybe someone will come talk to you." Marthe says encouragingly. "I nightly doubt so but ok." I say brushing off any potential conversations. "Your gonna do great! I'll sit on the side of the bar not too far away so you will be fine." Marthe says reassuringly. I sit at one side of the bar and Marthe goes to sit at the other end still having a clear view of me. I sit at the bar sipping on my drink and mainly looking down not really having much experience at a bar and little did I know Marthe was looking at me occasionally from across the bar wishing to have her arms wrapped around me. A few minutes go by when I see a girl come beside me and asks "Hey so just wondering is the pink, purple and blue hair color choice because your bisexual?" She asks a bit too cheery but I think nothing of it. "Um yea actually." I answer awkwardly. "Looks really good how did you do it?" She asks which makes me think maybe she was genuinely interested in my hair. "Oh I erm actually did it myself." I say smiling thinking of when I did it and it came out so much better then expected. "Cool..so do you like girls?" She asks changing the subject so quick. "Um yea ..bisexual means I like both guys and girls." I say unsure if she knew what bisexual means judging by her tone. "Soo..wanna go up to my hotel room?" She asks trailing her finger up and down my arm which makes me uncomfortable. I look at her with a bit of fear my mind went blank and I didn't know how to respond. "Um..." I didn't get to answer when I felt her hand around my wrist with the intention of guiding me to her room. "Um no thanks." I try to say as politely as possible. I mean yea I like girls but she was definitely not my type personality wise. "Come on it will be fun. Don't be scared I won't bite. I know you want me, I can feel your heart racing." I was frozen in fear not knowing what to do, my heart wasn't racing from nerves because I had a crush on her it was racing because I was scared out of my mind. The way she was acting totally turned me off and I still didn't know how to tell her I wasn't interested. Confrontation is definitely not my strong suit. Before she could pull me any further away from the bar Marthe comes up behind her and grabs her girl's wrist, the one that was harshly gripping mine. "She said no." Marthe says in a low firm tone. The girl immediately let go of my wrist and walks away. My wrist had a slight bruise from when she was gripping it but that whole situation clouded my mind and it was all I could think about. I then felt Marthe gently caress my cheeks and asks "are you ok?" I had tears in my eyes but then focused my gaze into her eyes and shake my head to say no. Marthe instantly pulls me in for a hug one hand holding my head and the other around my waist. I felt safe in her arms.. and I started sobbing thinking of what could have happened if Marthe wasn't here. Marthe just holds me, pats my head and says "It's ok I'm here." "Hey let's go back to our room ok?" Marthe suggests. I just nod into her shirt. Marthe goes to start walking but I don't budge, instead I put my arms up and she knows exactly what to do. We've been friends for a while so this became a normal thing, I mean she never minded it. Marthe chuckles and carries me and I cling onto her like a koala. I hide my face in her shirt not wanting or needing anyone to see me like this. She carried me all the way to our room. That night when it was time to sleep I put my hands up and ask "cuddle?🥺" and in response she puts her arms around me and we cuddle in the bed. "I love you." I mumble sleepily. "I love you too." Marthe says softly. A few minutes later my head was still buried in Marthe's chest and she thought I was asleep already due to how much I had cried. "I love you more than friends would." Marthe says thinking it was safe and I was asleep but little did she know I was only just falling asleep and heard it loud and clear. "I love you more than friends would too." I mumble into her chest. She then pushes me back to look at my face and questions "Wait what did you just say?" "I love you more than friends would too." I say not daring enough to look her in the eyes and say it but looking at her after I said it so she knew I meant it. "Wanna be my girlfriend?" Marthe asks voice a bit shaky from nervousness. "I would love that." I say sleepily and shy. We then share a short sweet kiss and go back to cuddling and falling asleep together with smiles on our faces.
