~A month later~

"What? Basketball?" I asked, confused why Yoongi wanted me to play a sport I couldn't play.
He nodded, "Don't you want to play with me?" I stared at him, unsure how to answer. "But I don't know how to play," I said. "Don't worry about it. I can teach you," he started trying to get me to stand up. I willingly stood up, "Are you sure about this? I might get in the way of your fun." He chuckled, "Of course I'm sure. Don't worry about it too much."

~To the court~

As he was leading me to the court, the other members and Kim followed behind us. I glanced over my shoulder to see them messing around.

"Sorry about them. They wanted to come along," Yoongi apologized. "It's no problem. The more the merrier, right?" I quickly said. "You're right," he agreed. Then he stood in the middle of the court. "It's pretty simple. Just dribble the ball, without double dribbling or traveling, and try to score points into the basket," he said. I tilted my head in confusion. "Here, I can demonstrate," he held up his hand, and Jimin tossed him the ball. "To dribble, you use the tips of your fingers. If you want to block me from getting the ball, you can use your arm," he demonstrated. I got distracted on how mesmerizing he looked since I haven't seen him play in a while.

"Give it a try," he passed the ball to me. I stared at the ball for a while before trying to copy him. "You double dribbled," he said. I stopped dribbling and held the ball between my hands. "How do I know if I do that?" I asked. "You hold the ball for a split second before dribbling again," he explained. I gave him a confused expression. "Come here and try to block me," he said. I nodded before dribbling again. "Wait, fix your posture," he said, "Bend your knees, and keep your eyes on me rather than the ball." I did as instructed. "Okay, ready?" he asked, and I hesitantly nodded. Although I tried my best, he took it without a problem.

"Yoongi..." I whined, "I can't even play. Why do you want to play with me?" He chuckled, "Because I thought it would be fun. Plus, you've been working hard lately so I thought it'll be a nice break." I couldn't help but smile at his thoughtfulness. "You're so sweet," Hoseok made an attempt to steal the ball away. Yoongi passed him and made a three pointer. "You should teach us how to play as well," Namjoon said. Yoongi looked over at me. "We can play after. I'll watch and learn," I said, and he nodded in response.

~After a while~

I had to admit it was more difficult trying to learn by watching. Kim noticed this and started explaining it to me.

"Did you use to play basketball?" I asked. "Only during physical education because it was a requirement," she answered. "Really? I never played," I said. "Well, I did go to school in America," she replied. "Were you good?" I asked. "I don't know. It was a one time thing my coach called 'March Madness.' My team said I was their star shooter, but I doubt I was good," she shrugged. "I bet you were good, because no one calls someone that unless they mean it," I quickly said. She chuckled. "I guess."

After the boys finished playing, they went to get water.

"Let's play, Y/N," Yoongi motioned me. "Good luck," Kim said. I got up and went over to him. "Do you understand what you need to do now?" Yoongi asked. "I have a basic idea," I answered. "Since you're new to it, I'll go easy," he said. We went to the end of the court. "I'll pass you the ball, and you can just pass it back to me. That's when the game will start," he explained, and I nodded. Yoongi passed the ball to me, "Checkmate." I passed it back and he started dribbling.

Shockingly enough, I got the ball from him. When I made it to Yoongi's basket, I attempted to shoot it. The basketball bounced off the rim and Yoongi quickly retrieved it. I started chasing after him. He did a layup, and made the point.

"Okay, now your turn. Do what I did in the beginning," he said.

I nodded and copied what Yoongi did. When I got the ball back, I quickly passed Yoongi. Then I tried to make a point, but Yoongi slapped the ball out of my hands. He started running to the opposite side and I quickly followed. I stood in front of him and attempted to steal the ball back. He ran past me and towards the basket without a problem. I followed him, and continued my failed attempts to steal it back. It looked like he was about to make another point from where he was standing. I turned to see if the ball made it into the basket. When I didn't see the ball at all, I turned back to Yoongi. He lightly kissed me, shocking me. All he did was smile.

"That's unfair!" I started chasing him as he ran off laughing. I couldn't help but start laughing as well.

I hoped you enjoyed!
