UNEDITED: IGNORE ALL MISTAKES PLEASE

Christmas Eve.

POV: Lani

"We miss you."

"Aww C'mon Bebe don't be like that."

"I'm just saying." I shrugged. "You've been gone for two weeks, and it's going to be Christmas tomorrow."

"I know." Melo huffed. "I'll be back by the end of the night...you know I have to work."

"You said we were gonna spend quality time together."

"We are."

"Not if you're gone."

"Lani, you know how much I want to be there with you right now. But I have to play."

"I know. I know." I huffed. This isn't Melo's first Christmas being gone, but usually I wake up with him next to me and we open presents together. I guess this year it's going to be a little different. Although, I'm surrounded by family and friends to keep me busy until I can finally see my husband tomorrow.

"Smile for me mama....no sad faces on Christmas."

"I' not sad."

"I know when you're lying."

"I'm not lying. I'm exhausted, and I just want to kiss your lips."

"Aww." He was smiling wide. "Well, once I get back, and we're together...I'll kiss you all night. Everywhere."

"What about the kids?"

"What about them mama? We can go on a date night."

"Date night on Christmas?"

"I'm down if you are."

"I am...but what about Deya?"

"Lani. Stop making excuses."

"I'm sorry." I chuckled.

"So where's that smile? I don't want you to be sad."

"I'm not I promise." I started smiling, while making sure to show myself in our FaceTime call.

"Aww hi princess!!" Melo's eyes had gone wide once he saw Adeya feeding from me.
