(Lisa)
I tried to open my eyes but it's more difficult than normal. It's like my muscles won't cooperate with my brain.
When I finally succeeded in that task, I saw my foot with a hard cast. I saw it first because of the neon pink scribbles and drawings over the white cast. Then I slowly noticed the tubes connected to my body and a life support machine on my left beeping.
I turned to my right, I saw Jennie, she's in cover of a magazine the person behind it is reading.
"J-jen..nie" I said weakly finding it hard to speak. My mouth is so dry and feels like a brick.
That's the moment the person reading the magazine decided to put it down. Her eyes wide as saucers in shock.
"Lisa!! Oh my God Lisa!! You're awake!" she said tearing up.
I furrowed my eyebrows at her, "C-chae.." I said shortly.
"OhmyGod! I'll get the doctor" Chae said animatedly.
The doctors came to inspect my eyesight and check all my vital signs. When they figured that I can breath without the ventilator, they removed the nasal cannula and let me use my own lungs to breathe.
"Well, this is good news. Very good news. Miss Manoban?" the doctor called my attention.
"W-water" I croaked out.
Chae rushed to my side with a glass of water with straw.
"Just take it slowly Miss Manoban, little sips for now until you're body adjust back to normal" the doctor reminded.
When I was done sipping water, the doctor talked to me again.
"Do you know where you are Lisa?" he asked.
"Hospital..I guess" I said.
"Yes, you're in a hospital. And I am Doctor Lee, I've been taking care of you for the last 4 months" he said.
"4 months?!" I asked in shock.
"Yes. You've been in coma for 4 months Lisa. Do you recognize this person beside you?" doctor Lee asked pertaining to Chae.
I nodded, "Park Chaeyoung"
The doctor nodded, "Do you remember what happened to you?"
I furrowed my eyebrows thinking hard. Then I remember everything. Jennie.
My heart ached like I was shot. My eyes formed tears. The machine connected to me started beeping hard due to my sudden flashbacks.
I nodded slowly but before I can answer the door flew open.
"OhmyGod honey! Oh! You're awake! Oh thank God!" said a middle aged woman from the door.
When I had the clear vision of her, my eyes widened in disbelief, "Mom??"
"Oh honey! I'm here..I'm here" said mom crying.
Then came another person behind her.
"Dad??!" I almost screamed.
"Yes sweetheart. I'm here too. Are you feeling okay? You look pale.." Dad said in a worried tone.
"Doc, is this normal? She looks really pale" Chae asked the doctor worriedly.
"What's happening? I don't... I don't understand.. Why..What's.." I tried to make sense of everything running in my head but everything went black.
