It's almost midnight, Lisa is still unconscious. The doctors said she'll wake up as soon the effect of the medicine ceased. The medicine that induced her to sleep. They said she needed that so she won't feel too much pain when she's awake, she might pass out again if she wakes up to all the pain she is currently in. Her being allergic to anesthesia is very fatal to her well-being.

I heard a click from the other side of the door. Someone's coming in. Then I saw Chae's profile on the screen. A few seconds later, she's inside.

"Miss Kim, it's past dinner time. You should eat. There's food in the kitchen. Are you coming out or you want me to bring the food here?" she said softly.

"I'm not hungry" I said.

"If Miss Manoban is awake, she wouldn't believe that" Chae said a bit playfully.

That earned a small smile from me, "You two always making fun of my appetite"

"Because that's the truth. You're always hungry. Come on, she wouldn't like you missing your meals" she insisted.

"Alright. I'll be out in a while. Can you..join me in the kitchen? It's sad eating alone" I asked.

"Sure. If that's an order from my boss, why not" she said smiling.

"That's a request Chae. I don't like the sound of giving orders. Thank you" I said.

She nodded and smiled. She went outside.

"Baby, I will be back later. You're employee is very persistent. You got a good one there. Keep her. Now, I have to eat. You still owe me lunch by the way. That's your promise. I love you" I said, talking to my unconscious girlfriend.

I went to the kitchen. The food was ready when I got there. Two sets of plates.

"Let's eat?" Chae said.

"Yeah. Where's everyone?" I asked looking around.

"Alex is in the guest room, resting. The doctors have their own quarters. Sec teams are outside with Peyton. Jisoo is somewhere in the house, I don't actually know, she's always in the shadows" she answered to lighten the mood a little then shove food in her mouth.

I nodded and started eating.

We were silent for a while then she spoke softly, back at it again with our secret talks. She started.

"Be ready by midnight Jen. Jisoo will meet you in the rest room again. I'm sorry, we decided that it's best if I to stay behind, I need to make sure Lisa is well guarded too. Don't worry, I promise that Jisoo is okay, you can trust her" she spoke hurriedly.

I said in the same manner and tone, "Okay. But what if Lisa wakes up when we're out there?" I said.

She thought for a while, "Well, Jisoo will know what to do. It will only take a few minutes to go back anyway. The doctors are monitoring her 24/7. We have 3 doctors, they have 8 hours shift each. Plus I am guarding her too. You don't have to worry Jen. She'll be fine", she said.

"Alright. I think I need some fresh air. Being underground feels like you've been cut off from the world. Are you sure we won't get caught?" I said still unsure about the idea of sneaking out.

"Yes. Jisoo is the best tech person in the business I know. But not everyone has to know that too. It comes handy in situations like this. You can trust her. She's really close to Lisa. She'll explain everything to you later, I promise" she said.

"Okay then. I trust you both, for my girlfriend's sake" I said.

"Great. Just know that Jisoo knows a lot more than I can ever know or learn about protecting Lisa or anyone, you're safe with her. She can take down an army by herself or shutdown every single gadget in the world in seconds" she said smiling.
