55 - Boss

Last night was one of the best dinners I had in a long time. The Kims plus Chae, all the closest people in my life in one dining table. I just hope we could do that with Jisoo too but she had to stay hidden for now. We ate what mom and I prepared. They were all praising both of us when they had their first bite of their food. Jen almost ate the whole Blueberry Pecan Gallette that I baked. Her family teased her a lot and she said it was actually for her. But she shared the rest with all of us in the end, with a bit of playful complaining from the dessert monster.

We left the Kim's residence with a heavy heart because we still want to stay longer but we can't. We both have work back home. We flew back to Midland in the afternoon.

Back in the penthouse.

I missed my bed so much that I fell asleep for 30 minutes right when I laid down on my bed. Jen teased me for quite a while when I woke up. She already organized our things that we brought home.

"You have separation anxiety with your bed. Do I need to get jealous of this bed now? I just realized I was talking to myself for a full minute when I heard you softly snoring earlier" she said sitting down at the edge of the bed.

"Sorry, I just didn't sleep well last night. And you woke me up really early this morning" I muttered trying to rid my sleepiness.

"I know. It's okay. You can go back to sleep if you want. You've only been sleeping for half an hour", she said smiling.

"Nah. I'm good. What are we doing tonight? Do you have plans? I mean, you have work tomorrow, this is our last day off of work for this week" I said hugging her from behind.

"I didn't plan anything. Did you? We can do whatever you want" she said.

"I don't have plans too. But I promised to show you my cars right? Do you want that tour now?" I asked.

"Sure. We have nothing else to do anyway. Unless..you want to start trying that box over there?" she answered in a sweet innocent voice.

I looked over where she's pointing at to see a black and pink box with the logo of WhipsNCream .

"Oh shit. I almost forgot we have that. I didn't notice it earlier. Did you bring that up here?" I asked honestly not remembering if we brought it up earlier.

"Nope. I kinda forgot about it too but Chae reminded me about it and I just asked her to bring it up here" she said.

"I can imagine her face while carrying that box for the second time", I said giggling.

"Yeah. She still has an annoyed face when she put it down. Probably reminiscing the day she bought those" she said laughing.

"Poor woman" I said shaking my head in amusement.

"A great plan popped up in my head just now..But you can show me your rides for now.." she said but she muttered under her breath, "before I ride something else later tonight". But I still heard it. Oh boy.

I pulled her to the private elevator so we can go down a flight of floors. We reached the topmost level of my parking space. 62nd floor.

"Baby, how the fuck do you have a parking area on the 62nd floor? I mean, this is way too high up to even contain cars..How?" Jen asked animatedly right before the elevator doors opened.

"There's a private lift for the cars as well of course. How else will the cars go down? Drive it in circles 60 floors down? I don't think that's healthy for any skilled driver to do. It will be dizzying" I answered giggling. She didn't say anything but her eyebrows were still furrowed, probably still wrapping her mind around everything.
