"You are so much like your father."

"You have your mother's eyes."

"Lily had a thing for potions, it seems you inherited it."

"Your father was an arrogant git, strutting about the castle."

Harry was always expected to be James. Maybe a bit of Lily. He was tired of all the expectations.
"Harry Potter, the boy who lived!"
He had so much that he had to be. Before he was even two. He just wanted to be with people who could see past that. Ron, who had grown up in a large family and always had the weight of his brothers on his back, knew how he felt. Hermione, who was muggle born and felt like she had to be the best to prove she was really magical and special, also knew how he felt. Harry knew, that night in the forest, seconds away from death, and seconds away from destroying Voldemort, he would have never made it there without Ron and Hermione. They both knew what it was like to have great expectations thrust upon them, and they helped Harry through his. As Voldemort raised his wand, he wished he had helped them a little more.

The moment Harry returned from King's Cross he swore to help Ron and Hermione and to take their advice more.
