Remember the first year? Down this hallway was Fluffy and the Philosopher's Stone.
But now it was crumbling from Death Eater's spells.
And this bathroom? The Chamber of Secrets is here. We made polyjuice in our second year.
But now we have to get a fang to kill Voldemort's horcrux again.
This passageway. To the Shrieking Shack. They found the truth about Sirius in here.
All the Marauders are gone now. Sirius, Peter, Lupin, and James. All dead. All gone. Just memories.
That way to the lake. The second task for the triwizard tournament.
But now it was stained with red.
The thestrals tearing at death eaters.
They were the ones who carried them to the Ministry, and found the prophecy.
The tower glowed with fire.
Dumbledore had died there just last year.
The Quidditch Pitch fell down around them.
So many games won. Would they lose when it mattered most?
Hogwarts was crumbling and burning. Memories were fading in and out of the breaking halls. If anyone wanted at future, they had to look to the past. And then accept that it was all just memories now.
