Silence. A cold laugh. More silence. Thumps on the stair case. Silence. Lily held Harry tight.
"It's okay, Harry. Mummy loves you. Daddy loves you. Uncle Padfoot loves you."
A lock picking noise.
"Harry it's okay. Mummy will always be there for you."
A shattering noise. The door had broken.
"Harry. I love you."
Lily put Harry down in the crib.
"No please! Don't kill Harry!"
She screamed at the Dark Lord.
"Stand aside silly girl, stand aside."
Lily didn't move. Her fiery red hair whipped around her head from. The cold draft the open window let in.
"No! Please, not Harry!"
Lily grabbed at Voldemort to stop him.
"Foolish girl!"
Voldemort raised his wand.
Despite the stories, despite what Harry hears whenever a dementor comes close, Lily Potter never screamed at her death. She wouldn't give Voldemort the victory. She gave him the most unnerving sound of all. Silence.
Harry did the same. Voldemort expected a scream from the boy who lived. But all he got was silence. Just like his mother. Silence. The world's deadliest weapon. Somethings, silence speaks louder than words. Some times silence is true Gryffindor courage.
Silence.
I used silence so many times all the whovians are going to forget I wrote this chapter...
