They were cornered. Bellatrix and Dolohov were unmasked, the rest of the Death Eaters unknown.
"Remus...."
Tonks and Remus were back to back.
"EXPELLIARMUS!"
The Death Eaters shouted. They were just playing now.
"Awwww....your cornered now aren't you?"
Bellatrix prodded.
"Who's gonna babysit the little cubs now? Uncle Sirius maybe? Oh wait. He's dead. Like the rest of your little friends."
Tonks snarled and lunged forward. Remus grabbed her and pulled her away from two killing curses aimed at her.
"No, don't kill them yet. This should be fun."
Bellatrix cackled. Tonks was struggling as Remus held her back from physically hurting Bellatrix.
"There may be a way out."
He whispered.
"No. Really. First was Jamesie. He went by...Prongs was it? Your friend Wormtail was very informative, the little rat. Useless. But he did tell the Dark Lord about wittle Harry and his mummy and daddy. He did get Sirius out of the way from hurting any more of us. But after that he was a bloody coward. Only gave rebirth to the Dark Lord because he was destined to return to power!"
This time Tonks had to keep Remus back.
"Remember what you said to me."
She pleaded.
"Ha. But that's not the worst. After Sirius practically forced Wormtail to go back to the Dark Lord, he was stuck inside all day. You called him...ah.... Padfoot? Dogs can be so annoying.....much like werewolves for instance. And the he went and died, by me of course, Didn't cause much of an uproar in the family, right Nymphadora? Oh wait, that's right, you're not part of it."
Bellatrix hissed. Tonks barked out of habit,
"Don't call me-"
"Tonks."
Remus interjected.
"Nymphadora."
Tonks finished.
"Oooh yes. That's a soft spot now isn't it? Will you die laughing like Padfoot or cowering like a little lost puppy? Make that a werewolf puppy."
Bellatrix smirked and raised her wand.
"Remus there is no way out. Let me rip her apart."
Tonks growled.
"She'll kill you before you can take a step."
Remus said sadly.
"Then hold my hand."
"I love you."
"I love you."
"AVADA KEDAVRA."
Their breath stopped with their hearts. Their hands were locked, and no one could ever get them apart.
