Okay, some things to cover.
Sorry I haven't updated for, like, two months.

I'm seriously considering ending this books, I've got too much other stuff going on. I will finish the 100 head canons challenge and be done with it by April.
That is my goal.
Sorry, sorry.
But I am going to the Wizarding world in March so I'll tell you how that turns out!

Secondly, the picture above shows that the Harry Potter series has been translated into Latin and Greek. (ANCIENT Greek)
DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS?
Demigods read the Harry Potter series.
PERCY JACKSON CHARACTERS READ HARRY POTTER
Sorry, ranting about Percy Jackson ,but most people who've read Harry Potter have also read Percy Jackson. It's good, if you liked Harry Potter you'd probably like Percy Jackson. If you don't want to read this, continue to the large asdfghjkl fangirling at the bottom of this idea

But most demigods are dyslexic, so they couldn't read normal, modern language versions of the books.
(It's never clear if it's just English, as Nico can read the signs in Italian, but Nico may not be as dyslexic as, say, Percy. It's most likely Piper can read French because of it's connection to Aphrodite, like how the others can read in Ancient Greek or Latin because of their connections to the gods.)
Anyway, they have trouble with reading, but not in the original language of their godly parent. So Jason can read just fine in Latin, like how Percy can read almost perfectly in Ancient Greek. (almost)
So they could read the Harry Potter books because they've been translated into these obscure basically dead languages.
Why were they translated, though?
Things like these question the word "fiction".
But since the Percy Jackson characters could definitely read Harry Potter, I've made a list of how they'd react to it.

Percy: Probably would have just read the first few because Annabeth told him to. Sure, he can read them since they're in Ancient Greek, but he has ADHD and could probably not make it through seven books without getting bored. Definitely watched the movies when the Argo II crew had a marathon, though.

Annabeth: Loved the books. Got her dad to take her to the first midnight release of a movie when she was old enough to go to, before running away. Had trouble reading them, but finally finished the series when she got to Camp Half-Blood and found them all in ancient Greek in the Athena cabin library. Definitely wished her letter would come when she was eleven, and felt a special connection to Hedwig and Pig for some reason, probably to do with her mother. Didn't get to see all the movies until the Argo II marathon, because of the way technology works with Half-Bloods, but commented the whole way through. She definitely thought of Harry when she first saw Percy, because of his black hair and green eyes. Found their similarities pretty much ended there.

Piper: Watched the movies, and hopes her dad might get a part in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Might read the books in the future.

Jason: Has all the books in Latin, and read them, but is just a casual fan. Saw the movies with the rest of the Argo II crew.

Hazel: Didn't understand it at first, being from the 30s, but read the books after reluctantly watching the movies. (The whole "witches" thing hit to close to home) Loves the series now, and is still trying to get Leo to read the books. Accepts that no one really knows Hermione's race, (and loves that J.K. Rowling said that to stop all the racist people ranting about the play) but kind of hopes her mother is black and her father is white, like her, because she liked Hermione the best.

Frank: Only read them because Hazel told him to. Watched the movies with the rest of the Argo II. Likes them, though.

Leo: Started the whole movie marathon idea. Never read the books, but loves the movies. The fourth year is his favorite, much like many other fans who only watched the movies, and is slightly offended at how much Annabeth doesn't like it, and complains about how far from the books it is. He's starting to compare the characters to his friends, and now Calypso won't talk to him because he said she was like Lavender. It was better than when he told Nico he was like fifth year Harry specifically, though. That is never to be spoken of again.

Nico: Read the books and watched the movies with Hazel after she tried to raise the Philosopher's Stone from the ground to prove how great they were. (it didn't work) Secretly sorted everyone into houses.... he's a Slytherin. Got really uncomfortable when Hazel announced that Dumbledore was gay and Leo was clearly trying to not start making stupid ship names. Did find a fanfiction between himself and Draco Malfoy, and will never know who wrote it...

Reyna: Didn't have time for that stuff but did eventually read the books when Frank suggested it.

Thalia: Heard all about them from Annabeth but has never actually read or seen them. Plans to before she dies, though.

Bonus: Hecate kids either love them or hate them. Lou Ellen is a die hard fan while Alabaster wanted to burn them for a while. If you look hard enough at Cabin 20 you will find tons of references, though they are very well hidden. (other than the large Griffin on the door)

So, that is over.

Back to regularly scheduled Potter, Potter, and more Potter.

If you do not know by now, Alan Rickman, the actor who played many amazing roles as well as Severus Snape, died on Jan. 14.

I'd raise my wand, like so many others, but it's not like it's Snape. (yes, yes it is actually. Once you're in Harry Potter you never return to normalcy. *raises wand anyway*)

Snape was one of the worst characters in the books, who did not deserve anything that happened to him during the Deathly Hallows (the whole "Bravest man I ever knew" schist is rubbish, that should go to Neville, but no one deserves to die by snake poison and be reminded of the one person you loved, and ultimately lost because you were are terrible friend.), but the way Alan Rickman portrayed Snape in the movies was great. It almost made up for what a terrible person Snape is in the books.

So that is the end of this chapter, I can't think of anything else to put in here, so have a wonderful New Year because I didn't say that earlier, and don't freak out that Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is only 10 to 11 months away.
