Seeing the grim everywhere you go? Shouting out spells as you do everyday tasks? This book has Harry Potter related anything! It's for the fans like me who can't accept that it's over. (CAUSE ITS NOT!!!)
Lots of random Harry Potter stuff. Involves/w...
It has been eighteen years since the battle of Hogwarts.
Eighteen years since anyone has seen Voldemort.
I know I said I'd finish this sometime in March, but...
I haven't finished the 100 head canons challenge, I must continue.
Besides, there are so many amazing Harry Potter things coming out soon. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the Cursed Child
It never ends
And something amazing and not really related to Harry Potter? The first book of Trials of Apollo comes out tomorrow
I open at the close? Maybe? Not really, but cool.
So here are four head canons commemorating those who lost their lives at the Battle of Hogwarts.
They may be fictional, but to us, they were our friends, family, and real.
Illusion The sun's glowing rays glittered as it rose over the torn castle. The Great Hall was littered with the lost and broken, and many others. But out in the court yard people where fighting. They were fighting for their lost friends, lost family, and lost loved ones. The curses bounced off the walls with just as much vigor as the night before. Everyone had seen it happen, and was ready to fight for their lives or watch the world burn with them. They had seem Harry Potter's dead body, thy had seen Hagrid carrying him out of the Forbidden Forest, just as broken as all the others, but watched in shock as Harry broke through the illusion of death and fought Lord Voldemort one last time. It was the broken illusion, the magic behind the mystery, that made everyone want to fight again. We were going to win this or die trying. The Battle is not over, but it will be soon. We are ready to fight again.
Family How many? How many families were thorn apart? How many had the same results as the Lupins or Weasley's? Parents perished by Death Eater's hands, brothers and sister shot down by a rouge spell, friends killed when they came to fight. How does it feel to be the family? To watch as your brother is crushed, still laughing, or to never know your parents, just that they were braver than you could ever dream of being it seems? How does it feel to know your brother fought against the rule that only seventeen year olds could fight, and died trying, a true Gryffindor? But how many had no family, no friends, no one to grieve when they were gone? How many died and joined their family? Maybe we need to stop looking at the number who lost their family, and looking at the number who honored, forgave, and helped their family? Maybe their family was just a group of friends, or maybe their family was a large group of close relatives, but they were all brave an honorable. And maybe, just maybe, we don't need a number. Maybe we need a reminder. A reminder that they were brave, strong, and fierce. We need to be reminded that they fought, and died, for their family to have a better world to live in. They are the ones who make the families of today possible.
Creation After the battle, things changed at Hogwarts. The books on horcruxes were returned to the library, but with strict warning on them. Warning of what happens when you try and escape death. Inter-house clubs were created. Everyone was welcome. Memorials and paintings of so many were put up, and everyone agreed that it was time to create something new from what was lost. After all, I open at the close.
Childhood They grew up here. We grew up here. We may have only spent an hour a day reading, but we watched then grow up here. Our childhood was spent behind the pages of a book, reading every word and memorizing every quote our favorite character said. And today, our childhood ends. The Battle begins, and we can do nothing but watch as they fight. We can do nothing as they die. Our lives are shattered as we do nothing, because we can do nothing. They are just words on a page, after all. Why should we care? Why does anyone care in the first place? This was, is, our childhood, and we are watching it burn and fade. You can't expect us to sit here quietly. No, we fought along side them. Even if everyone else says we could never have done such a thing, we know better. We protected our, and their, childhoods. We cast every curse and sent every spell. And though some of us did not really "grow up" with the books, waiting for a new one every year, we still watched Harry, Ron, and Hermione grow. No one can tell how we spent our childhood. We already know. Our childhood was spent at Hogwarts, so it was natural that we would fight for Hogwarts when the time came. Did you ever doubt us?

It does not matter what country you are from, but you are affected by the corruption of the American government's system of "democracy". Recently, a man who is racist, sexist, islamophobic, homophobic, (where have we seen that before?) and unfit to run any country was elected POTUS, against popular vote. There is no way to change this, but we can move forward from here. Do anything you can think of to help those who are terrified of the outcome, be informed of what is going on, and peacefully (not violently) show that you are against the hatred.
And remember, even Voldemort took over Hogwarts. We haven't finished the story yet.
