Snape let out his last breath still looking at her eyes. He missed her so much, and it was all his fault. He realized that really, he was the only one who pushed her away. He chose his dark path, and even if Pettigrew was the one who betrayed her, he was the one who told the Dark Lord about the prophecy. He made it so he would never see those eyes again.
He felt different. He was no longer in pain. He opened his eyes and saw those eyes again, this time framed by red.
"Severus Snape. You complete jerk."
