Precious Treasure

James sighed as Sirius fell out of a tree. Again. Third time this week.
"Face it, Pads, dogs don't belong in trees."
He rolled his eyes. Sirius glared at him.
"But apparently wolves do."
They both looked up at Remus, who was waving to them from the highest branch that would support his weight.
"Just werewolves."
James responded. They were at the large birch by the Great Lake, where they had come everyday after their OWLs. Remus had started to climb down.
"You're bleeding, you know."
He said to Sirius as he jumped of the branch closest to the ground.
"Whatever."
James saw Sirius glance down at his arm. It wasn't a very large cut, but the blood had run down his arm.
"You should get a bandage. Wouldn't want that infected. You might end up in the hospital wing."
Remus pointed out.
"I'm fine, seriously."
Sirius waved him off.
"Really. You've pretty much already got a bed in there with your name on it."
"Me? Says Mr. I'm here once a month and then some because I fell out of a tree kind of sort of on accident/purpose. You have three."
Sirius retorted.
"It was a complete accident!"
Remus exclaimed.
"Yes, you wanted to gracefully jump out of the tree as Mary passed, but you were too distracted by her to realize you fell."
Sirius smirked.
"You've still got blood on your arm. You'll attract wolves."
Remus quickly changed the subject.
"There are no wolves at Hogwarts."
Sirius said in an "that is so freaking obvious" tone of voice.
"You sure?"
"Positive. Remus, what are you-"
Sirius quickly bolted away around the lake. Remus was laughing. James looked up from drawing with a stick in the dirt.
"Did I miss something?"
He asked.
"No, just Sirius attracting wolves. Now where is my wa-"
Remus reached into his pocket.
"Oh. That little..."
He raced after Sirius, who was waving two wands above his head, clearly laughing. James just smirked at the pair, knowing, even as a fifth year, that friendship was a precious treasure.
