General thoughts while listening to the audio book for the Philosopher's Stone

*Dumbledore offers McGonagall a sherbet lemon* Oh in the sorcerer's stone they're called lemon drops

*Hagrid says he's going to return Sirius's motorbike* NO YOU WON'T BECAUSE HE HAD TO GO AND CHASE PETTIGREW SERIOUSLY WHY

All of this about Lily and James makes me want to cry

THEY HAVE BEEN DEAD FOR LITERALLY THE WHOLE SERIES AND I MISS THEM

TO HARRY POTTER, THE BOY WHO LIVED

In the movies Quirrel stutters except for when he's teaching. He teaches in a monotone voice.

Yeah, DADA professor. EXPECT THE FACT THAT YOU HAVE VOLDEMORT ON YOUR HEAD

JUST SAY HIS NAME ALREADY IT'S
V O L D E M O R T

Lily's wand, made for charm work, and Lily's love casts a charm like magic on Harry

James' wand, made for tranfiguration, and he becomes an animagus at age fifth-teen

Foreshadowing or coincidental...

So the Marlene McKinnon is not mentioned twice, one in Order of the Pheonix and once in Deathly Hallows, but she is also mentioned in this book!

Yes Ginny we'll send you a Hogwarts toilet seat

GINNY IS FANGIRLING OVER HARRY NOW
AND
OMG
JUST
THEY'LL BE MARRIED

Fear of a name only increases fear of the thing itself, as Hermione/ Dumbledore will eventually say. STOP SAYING YOU KNOW WHO RON

DIE SCABBERS DIE

Does Pettigrew do nothing but sleep because that sounds good right now

Hermione did want to be a Gryffindor, she thought Ravenclaw would be fine, but she wanted Gryffindor, so she probably asked the sorting hat, proving the theory that you have to have bravery to ask to get into Gryffindor. Expect for Neville, who wanted Hufflepuff, but the sorting hat just knew.

Supposedly the sorting hat is never wrong, but honestly Peter Pettigrew was never brave so how did he get into Gryffindor? Except the fact that you made a mistake you inanimate object.
