Some of my concerns involving animagi
*Used a Harry Potter wiki for some of this, facts may not be completely true

1. You have to hold a mandrake leaf in your mouth for a month. HOW DID SIRIUS AND JAMES DO THAT? Peter could go unnoticed, but really, why? That seems stupid.

2. If an unregistered animagi is caught, they get a sentence in Azkaban. . . for how long though. . . More or less than twelve years?

3.Why did they use a CGI dog in the third year but an actual dog in the fifth year. WHY DID THEY LEAVE HIM OUT OF THE FOURTH YEAR?

4. Is it possible that James/Sirius/Peter ever got stuck with antlers/tail/ears or whatever?

5. If you were a bug animagus and someone squished you, would you be dead?

6. There was a fan theory that Godric Gryffindor is the giant squid in animagus form. Gryffindor's animagus would have been a lion, because that's the mascot.

7. J.K. Rowling has stated that she would want to be an otter animagus, but she thinks she's probably a guinea pig or something and that would be embarrassing

8. One of the first things that comes up when you look up "How to become an animagus in [the harry potter series]" on google is "How to become and animagus in real life."

9. Is it possible to transform into an animagus but only do it part way? (like the ears/tail) Could you do so and be able to talk?

10. Is it possible to have a different patronus than animgus form?

Yes, it it. If your patronus changes because you love someone, it will be different from your original personality, which is what the animagus comes from

I'm just wondering because the Lily I've read in fanfictions seems more like a cat. But when her patronus is a doe without changing it she is literally made for James.

11. Why "Wormtail"? I kind of get Padfoot, because dogs have padded feet, am Prongs refers to his antlers, Moony's kind of obvious because he's a werewolf, but did they just look at Peter and say, "Your tail looks like a worm so therefore your new name is Wormtail."
Do rat tails even look that much like worms. I bet Sirius named him. Or Peter named himself.
At least it's creative. I would have called him rat.

12. 3/10 of the known animagi were birds. 2/10 were cats, one being unnamed. 4/10 were unregistered, and 1/10 was fictional. How do we know they're aren't more unregistered? It seems like there's a lot more rule breaking that previously thought.
