You know how there's stuff about 'I'm waiting for someone who loves me as much as Snape loved Lily?'

Well, I want someone who loves me like James loved Lily.

Snape choose the dark arts over Lily. It was his choice.

James never gave up, and eventually realized he was a jerk.

Snape took his hate for James out on Harry.

How can one word change six books of hate? I understand in the movies because they don't show how horrible Snape was.
He wanted to poison Trevor.
In the forth(?) year, when someone cast a spell on Hermione to make her teeth grow extra large, he said there was no difference. And then gave Harry and Ron detention for standing up for their friend.
He bullied Neville so much that he was his greatest fear. Not Bellatrix, who tortured his parents, Snape.
And all because he chose the dark arts over Lily and she died.

In the fifth year he says that Harry and Sirius need to stop whining over how life isn't fair.
Well, they didn't make those wrong choices.
Harry was the chosen one. It's not the Hunger Games, he didn't volunteer.
Sirius does need to stop whining, he's the one who told James to use Peter, he's the one who didn't forgive Snape, but, hey, that's Sirius. And he really wasn't whining in the first place.

Snape didn't love Lily as much as James did. If Snape loved her more he would have chosen her instead of the Dark Arts.

Sorry if you like/ship Snily, but seriously. Snape choose his path. And it wasn't with Lily.
