This great story was written by the wonderful anonymous so yuh :)

"I'm breaking up with you."

Those were the only words I could remember- the only words that were constantly on my mind.

Flashback

"I'm breaking up with you."

Tears immediately started forming in my eyes as my heart broke, "W-what? Why?"

Remus sighed, "Because, Liv, I'm not safe. I'm dangerous and I'm going to hurt you."

Tears rolled down my face, "B-but you haven't done anything- you haven't hurt me-"

"Yes, I have. I have and you know it."

"Remus, it was one time in first year! It was five years ago!"

"One time too many."

I took a shaky breath as I made eye contact with the boy, "I thought you loved me..."

Remus frowned, "Liv, I do-"

"Then why are you leaving me?!" I raised my voice.

"I- We- I just- Look, if I didn't love you, I wouldn't be doing this."

End of flashback

I took a deep breath, forcing myself not to break down again. I hated seeing the man I loved not being with me. It had been more than a month but I still hadn't gotten over it. I never would.

I absent-mindedly fiddled with the ring on my finger... my promise ring.

Flashback

Remus gently placed the ring on my finger. It was simple yet so beautiful. It had a gorgeous silver diamond and carved into the ring was written 'Mrs. Moony'.

"Love, this is ring marks my commitment to you," he stated, faking formality. "I will forever be yours and never leave you no matter what."

I looked up at him, grinning slightly, "Are you serious?"

"No, that's my best mate," he smirked, "I'm Remus."

I rolled my eyes, "No, doofus- that was really cheesy."

"Merlin, I'm never leaving you."

"Promise?"

He locked his pinkie with mine, "Pinkie promise."

I rested my head on his shoulder, "You can never break a pinkie promise."

He kissed the top of my head gently, "And I don't plan too," he whispered, "I love you so much and I'm never leaving you."

End of flashback

Liar. Liar. Liar. He lied to me. The promise he made, the promise that meant so much to me, was broken. Just like that.

I felt the sofa dip beside me, immediately knowing who it was, "Nope."

"But you don't even know what I'm going to ask!"

"No, Sirius, I will not write a diary entry for you in which you describe a fake thing that happened during your days at school so that you have a fun story to tell your kids and make them think you're a swaggy dad."

"Fine," he humphed. I could smell the Firewhisky coming right off of him.

I raised a brow at him, "Have you been drinking?"
