LOSING HER TO A POTTER

"Hey, love," Sev smiled, sitting next to you (pretend young Sev is hot...like...idk who your guys' face preferences are but yuh). You looked up from your book, smiling and leaning your head on his shoulder, "Hello hello."

"I have something for you," he began.

"Oh yeah?" you mumbled sleepily, yawning and cuddling up closer to him, wrapping your arms around him. He smiled at your tired form, wrapping an arm around you, "Mhm."

Soon, you felt come cold metal on your hand (mercury??) and you gasped, looking to see. Sev had put a ring on your finger. You looked at him, childishly grinning while your chin rested on his shoulder, "Bit early for proposals isn't it?"

He rolled his eyes, "You know bloody well what it is, Mariana."

"I know," you shrugged, "I just want you to say it."

He scoffed, "Fine. Darling, this is a promise ring."

"Why?"

"I- really?"

"Yes, really! Why have you given it to me?"

"Because I love you, dumbass."

You grinned like a little kid as you both stood up and you kissed him. Your arms wrapped around his neck (ha ha strangle ha. ha.) and his around your waist, pulling you closer.

That was two months ago. However, Sev had been acting...different? Sometimes he acted more 'clingy' or 'obsessive' or 'protective' of you but other times he acted more held back and 'insecure' about you.

You sat by the fireplace wondering what was going on with him when you felt a presence next to you.

Sev smiled and you pecked his cheek, "Hey, love."

"Hey, darling," he replied.

"I have something to ask you," you started.

He raised a brow, "And I have something to tell you."

"Well...let's say it at the same time," you shrugged.

"Ok."

"3...2...1..."

"I want to break up."

"Why've you been so off?"

You stared at each other in silence as tears formed in your eyes, "...oh."

He frowned.

You half-joked, "Well, I guess that's my question answered then."

"Mariana, I-" he shut his mouth again before speaking, "I didn't want to do this," he lowered his voice.
