It was the winter holidays and you were staying with your boyfriend, Remus, and his family for Christmas. 

Today, there was a formal Christmas party being held by Lyall and Hope Lupin. You were getting ready in your allocated room when you heard a knock on the door.

"Come in!" you called.

"You heard the door open and recognised the voice of Remus.

"Love, save me! Mum is going crazy about setting up- if she asks you if you've seen me, tell her I'm busy walking my fish- woah!"

He looked you up and down in his suit which, you had to admit, made him look super hot. 

"Darling, you look gorgeous," he smirked, walking up to you and wrapping his arms around your waist while pulling you closer.

"You don't look terrible either, Lupin," you smirked back.

"Why thank you ever so much."

You pulled away to finsih of your make up and Remus sat on the bed. 

"So, I asked Mum and she said some of my best friends I haven't seen in a while are coming over. She said she told them about you and now they're desperate to meet you and-"

"What?!" you intterupted, "Oh, no, no, no, this isn't good at all! What if they don't like me? What if they ask me to go away even if it isn't they're choice! Oh no! I'm gonna-"

"Y/n!" Remus chimed in, chuckling. He walked towards you and clasped your hand in his, "They're gonna love you."

A few hours later, the party started and two people walked in around your age. There was a guy and a girl.

You were talking with Remus but stopped when you heard someone call his name over the loud music.

"Remus. REMUS!" a boy with blonde hair yelled. Remus turned around and his eyes lit up.

"Derek! Oh my god! Hi, mate!" Remus grinned pulling the boy into a tight hug. He then turned to the girl and leaned over to hug her.

"Eleonora! Merlin, you've gotten short."

She grinned, "No, Lupin, you've just gotten tall."

The two then turned to you and Eleonora squealed in delight, "Oh my Godric! Is this y/n? Remus always talks about you in letters you know! It's so cool to finally meet you!"

You grinned at her, "Oh, good things I hope."

"Definitely," replied Derek. 

"You've got nothing to worry about, love," Remus smiled, wrapping an arm around your waist.

"So, Remus, y/n, Derek and I were thinking about leaving this party before the adults get drunk? There's a huge muggle fair going on in London with tons of restaurants, food stalls and fair games and rides!"

You smiled, "That sounds great! Remus?" You turned to him with hopeful eyes.

"I mean, sure, but we don't have any muggle money or stuff-"
