The end of school feast for Fred and George's fourth year was the greatest one yet as they got to wear their pyjamas, well everyone did. The twins didn't know whether the best part was Lily running towards them and then jumping on both of them to give them a hug, or the food that came after it or if it was Professor McGonagall standing up to tell them that all the exams had been cancelled as a school treat which Lily was not happy about, or Dumbledore announcing that, unfortunately, Professor Lockhart would be unable to return next year, owing to the fact that he needed to go away and get his memory back. Quite a few of the teachers joined in the cheering that greeted this news. The rest of the final term passes in a haze of blazing sunshine for everyone at Hogwarts. Hogwarts is back to normal with only a few, small differences – Defence Against the Dark Arts classes were cancelled and Lucius Malfoy had been sacked as a school governor causing Draco to be no longer strutting around the school as though he owned the place. On the contrary, he looked resentful and sulky. On the other hand, Ginny Weasley was perfectly happy again.

For Lily, it was too soon. It is time for the journey home on the Hogwarts Express. Harry, Ron, Hermione, Fred, George, Ginny and Lily got a compartment to themselves. They make the most of the last few hours in which they are allowed to do magic before the holidays. They play Exploding Snap, set off the very last of Fred and George's Filibuster fireworks, and practise disarming each other by magic. They are almost at King's Cross when Harry bursts out asking, "Ginny – what did you see Percy doing, that he didn't want you to tell anyone?"

"Oh, that." Ginny giggles. "Well – Percy's got a girlfriend." Fred drops a stack of Lily's books on George's head. "What?" he asks in shock.

"It's that Ravenclaw prefect, Penelope Clearwater." Ginny tells them. "That's who he was writing to all last summer. He's been meeting her all over the school in secret. I walked in on them kissing in an empty classroom one day. He was so upset when she was – you know – attacked. You won't tease him, will you?" she adds anxiously.

"Wouldn't dream of it." Fred tells her, who is looking like his birthday has come early. "Definitely not." George says, sniggering, making Lily elbow both of the boys as she sits in the middle of them.

Finally, the Hogwarts Express slows down and finally stops. Lily, Fred, George and Ginny quickly grab their things from the compartment before making a rush out of the compartment door and running off the train, towards Mr and Mrs Weasley who are standing by Uncle Remus, who is standing there smiling brightly. "Hey, sweetheart. Have a good year?" Remus asks Lily as she gives him a hug. "I suppose I would have if I didn't end up getting petrified by the fucking monster in the chamber of secrets." she complains into his chest before letting go. "But other than that. It was fine." Lily shrugs, before Remus kissing the top of her head and then Mrs Weasley pulls her into a hug. "Oh, honey. Are you alright?" Mrs Weasley asks her.

"I'm fine, Mrs Weasley. Really." Lily assures Mrs Weasley, making her sigh.

"Well, I'm glad that you're alright, but... if you don't feel well, please owl me." Mrs Weasley tells her, making Lily nod her head. "Right, we'd better head home before the moon comes up." Remus informs Lily, making Ginny, Fred and George slightly confused as Lily nods her head. "Right. Bye guys." she says, waving at the three Weasley kids before she and Remus leave the train station and head back to their house, in the north of England, near Scotland.
