The next Thursday after the first task, Lily sits in Charms and during the last five minutes , Professor Flitwick demonstates the bubble-head charm. Lily watches his hands carefully, watching his hand movements and making a note of the shape he makes with it. "Mr Weasley and Mr Weasley!" Professor Flitwick calls, making Lily turn her head to find George with Fred in a headlock. Fred and George look up at Flitwick before George lets Fred go and they sit up straight. "Now that Weasley and Weasley have been kind enough to act their age," Professor Flitwick says, looking fed up. "I have something to say to you all.

"The Yule Ball is approaching – a traditional part of the Triwizad Tournament and an opportunity for us to socialize with our foreign guests. Now, the ball will be open only to fourth years and above – although you may invite a younger student if you wish. Dress robes will be worn and the ball will start at eight o'clock on Christmas Day, finishing at midnight in the Great Hall. Now then –"

Professor Flitwick stares around the class. "The Yule Ball is of course a chance for us to relax. But that does NOT mean that we will be relaxing the standards of behaviour we expect from Hogwarts students."

"The bell rings, and there is the usual scuffle of activity as everyone packs their bags and swings them onto their shoulders. "Might I tell you. That your heads of house will be gathering you all in one of the classroom's to give you all a lesson on how to dance, if any of you don't know how. And it's non-negotiable!" Flitwick yells ass everyone leaves the class.

"Can you believe it? A ball? An actual ball? I never thought this day would ever come," Angelina says, exasperated.

"I know. But, it's going to be interesting learning to dance. I mean, I know how to dance slightly because Uncle Remus taught me," Lily says.

"I know, but just imagine, maybe you might be able to go with Fred," Angelina says, shaking Lily's arm.

"Okay. Okay. Calm down, Ange. Now, we'd better get to the Transfiguration class before we're late," Lily says before dragging Angelina back to the castle.

Professor McGonagall stands in the middle of her Transfiguration classroom, which has now been split, the girls on one side of the room whilst the boys are on the other side. "As you know, the Yule Ball, has been a tradition of the Triwizard tournament since its inception. On Christmas Night, we and our guests will gather in the Great Hall for a night of well-mannered frivolity. As representatives of the host school I expect each and every one of you to put your best foot forward and I mean this literally because the Yule Ball, is first and foremost... A dance," Professor McGonagall explains. "The house of Godric Gryffindor has commanded the respect of the wizard world for nearly ten centuries. I will not have you in the course of a single evening besmirching that name by behaving like a bumbling, bambling, band of baboons.

"Now to dance, is to let the body breathe," Professor McGonagall says opening her arms. "In every girl, a secret swan slumbers longing to burst often take flight. Inside every body, a lordly lion prepared to prance. Mr Weasley."

Lily watches Ron's face when Professor looks at him. Pure fear erupts over his face as he looks at Professor McGonagall.

"Yes," Ron whispers.

"Will you join me please?" McGonagall asks, pulling Ron up from the bench. Lily watches as both Harry, Fred and George snicker to themselves at Ron's misfortune. "Now, place your right hand on my waist," McGonagall instructs Ron as they get back to the middle of the room.

"Where?" Ron asks in shock.

"My waist," McGonagall repeats. Suddenly, a whistle is heard from the boys side, making Lily turn her head slightly to look at Fred as he sticks his tounge out at her, making Lily roll her eyes at him. "Mr Filch if you please," Professor McGonagall says before beginning to show Ron and everyone in the room how to dance. "one, two, three, one two three, one, two three," she repeats. "Everybody come together."

At this, all the girls, including Lily and Angelina begin walking into the middle of the room. "Boys, on your feet."

Soon enough after this, the boys get up from where they are and begin pairing themselves with the girls. Lily, manages to end up with Goerge, Angelina with Fred. "Mr Weasley," Lily jokes.

"Miss Potter," George replies.

"Did you and Fred plan this?"

"Never," George says as they begin to dance.

"Then how come I'm stuck with you?" Lily asks, raising an eyebrow at George.

"Am I really that bad?" George asks, giving a slight gasp.

"Meh," Lily responds with as George looks offended. "Kidding, kidding. I just..."

"Prefer my brother, I know," George tells her making Lily shake her head.

"Okay. Now try to spin me," Lily tells George before he spins her out and then back in. "That was good."

"Just so you know, I'm planning on asking Angelina to the Yule Ball," George tells Lily.

"George, that's amazing," Lily tells her. "I'm really happy for you."

"Thank you, Lily," George tells her,

"Alright. I believe that you are all prepared for the Yule Ball. Now go and get ready for dinner," Professor McGonagall calls before everyone stops dancing and leaves the Transfiguration classroom.
