Two weeks before the end of term rolls around a lot quicker than Lily had expected it to. The sky lightened suddenly to a dazzling, opaline white and the muddy grounds were revealed one morning covered in glittering frost. Inside the castle, there was a buzz of Christmas in the air. Professor Flitwick, the Charms teacher, has already begun decorating his classroom with shimmering lights that turned out to be real, fluttering fairies. People around Lily have been discussing their plans for what they're gonna do when they get home but for Lily, she has no choice but to stay for Christmas with her godfather working at Hogwarts.
Yet, to everyone's delight, there is another Hogsmede trip on the very last weekend of the term.
"Oh. You lot go ahead. Fred and I have forgotten to grab something in our dorm. But you three feel free to go ahead. We'll meet you there." George tells Lily, Angelina and Lee as they begin to walk out of the school, their feet already covered in snow.
"You sure. We can come with you if you'd like." Lily suggests to the boys but they shake their heads.
"You go. We'll meet you there. Besides, maybe you can get our presents before we meet up at the three broomsticks." Fred tells them making Lily nod her head.
"Well, we'll see you later then." Lily says abruptly before turning around and walking off down the road.
3rd P.O.V (Fred's):
"Well, we'll see you later then." Lily says abruptly before turning around and walking off down the snowy road.
"We'll go see what's going on with Lily shall we, Lee?" Angelina asks him, making Lee nod his head before they head off after Lily.
"What's going on with the two of you, Freddie?" George asks him as the two of them head towards the courtyard.
"It doesn't matter, George. Something happened between the two of us and we're just working it out." Fred tells him.

"Psst – Harry!"
Fred and George peer out from behind the statue of the humpbacked, one-eyed witch. "What are you doing?" Harry asks the twins. "How come you're not going to Hogsmede with Lily?"
"We've come to give you a bit of festive cheer before we go," Fred says with a wink. "And Lily's in a strop. Come in here..."
The boys head into an empty classroom to the left of the witch statue. George closes the door behind them before the twins turn to look at Harry. "Early Christmas present for you, Harry." George says.
Fred pulls out the Marauder's Map from inside his cloak, laying it across one of the desks. "What's that supposed to be?" Harry asks.
"This, Harry, is the secret to our success," George says, patting the parchment fondly.
"It's a wrench, giving it to you," Fred begins. "but we decided last night, your need's greater than ours."
"Anyway, we know it by heart," George begins. "We bequeath it to you. We don't really need it anymore. Although, don't tell Lily though. She'll kill us if we found out if we gave it to you."
