31st October 1981

Lilith Potter was walking down the street of Godrics Hollow with her Uncle Mooney when they were heading back home so Lily could show her mum how much candy she got and then her dad would say that he would eat all of it to himself if she's not careful and kind but as soon as she got to the house, her smile immediately faded from her face and she screamed. Walking into the ruined house with her Uncle wasn't what she had imagined on Halloween. She saw her father lying on the floor of the living room, eyes wide, on his back and not breathing. She runs over her dad and immediately starts to shake him. "Daddy! Wake up! This not funny! Stop playing! Wake up!" she screams but nothing happened. Her father just lay there doing nothing and she starts crying, even more, running up the stairs to find her mum. She found her lying on Harry's bedroom floor, in front of his cot with Harry crying. "Wake up, Mummy! This not funny anymore! WAKE UP!" she continued to scream but still, nothing happened. She just lied there, not moving. Uncle Mooney walked into the room to see Lily crying over her mother, screaming for her to wake up. "Lily. I'm sorry but they're not going to wake up. We need to leave before anyone sees us," Mooney told Lily before picking her up, away from her mother. "NO! Harry! I want Harry!" she screams, getting out of her Uncle's grip and running over to Harry and lifting him out of the cot to hold him. "You'll be fine, Harry. We'll take you with us, won't we, Uncle Mooney?" she asked him, looking at him with pleading eyes but Mooney shook his head. "I'm sorry, Lily but Professor Dumbledore has already said that he was going to take Harry to live with your other aunt and uncle. And you'll be coming with me," Remus told her before taking Harry from Lily and putting him down in the cot. "Come on, Lily. We're going," Uncle Mooney tells her, dragging away from Harry and apperates away to his little cottage by the woods with Lily. Lily continues to kick and scream for a while but in the end, she falls asleep.

"Fancy seeing you here, Professor McGonagall," Albus Dumbledore said. He turned to smile at the tabby, but it had gone. Instead, he was smiling at a rather severe-looking woman who was wearing square glasses exactly the shape of the markings the cat had had around its eyes. She, too, was wearing a cloak, an emerald one. Her black hair was drawn into a tight bun. She looked distinctly ruffled. "How did you know it was me?" she asked.

"My dear Professor, I've never seen a cat sit so stiffly."

"You'd be stiff if you'd been sitting on a brick wall all day," said ProfessorMcGonagall.

"All day? When you could have been celebrating? I must have passed a dozen feasts and parties on my way here."

Professor McGonagall sniffed angrily. "Oh yes, everyone's celebrating, all right," she said impatiently. "You'd think they'd be a bit more careful, but no — even the Muggles have noticed something's going on. It was on their news."
