It's safe to say that it took Lily a while to cool off. She couldn't help but walk down to the black lake, sitting under the tree, to sit in her special place that she shares with Fred. And she knows that even when she's in a mood or have had an argument with Fred, sitting under the tree by the lake always makes her feel better. But even then, she knows that Fred would come down to see her because they know each other. They know their safe space but at this moment, Lily doesn't particularly want to see Fred. And back inside Gryffindor Tower, where Fred sits after Defense Against the Dark Arts, Fred knows that Lily does want to see him and he knows that what he said wasn't right.

However, down at the lake, Lily stares out at the water, thinking about the argument that has just happened in Defense Against the Dark Arts. She knows that she overreacted a bit but she knows that she has a point. Fred and George know that they're finishing Hogwarts and then will go straight into owning and working the joke shop they've got whilst Lily applies and begins her Auror training. She just hopes that Fred sees it from her point of view and sees that she right.

***

Fred sits in front of the fire in the Gryffindor common room, George, Lee and Angelina sitting at the table in the corner of the common room, watching their best friend stare into the flames of the fire that is lit in the common room. Thoughts spinning a hundred miles per hour in Fred's head as he stares at the fire in consideration. He's torn between staying up in the common room and allowing Lily to have her space for a while or just running out of the common room to find her to apologize. He hates fighting with her and now that they are together, with this being the first proper argument that they have had, it tugs at Fred's heart because he doesn't know how long it will be before they make up.

However, after a few moments of internal struggling, he lets out a groan before getting up from the sofa and running out of the common room. He runs through the corridors of the school and down the stairs. There are a few yells from the professors to not run in the corridors or down the stairs. Yet, Fred doesn't really care. He just wants to find Lily.

He runs out the front doors of the school and allows his feet to carry him down the hill as he makes his way down to the lake.

Lily hears the sound of leaves crunching behind her, causes her to turn around to find Fred running down the hill towards her. She stands up quickly before walking towards Fred as he slows as he sees Lily making her way towards him. "I'm sorry. I overreacted and I didin't mean to offend you. I just-"

Fred gets cut off by Lily slamming her lips against his, attempting to shut him up, which does work. Fred stumbles back due to the force of the kiss but stablaizes himself as he puts his hands on Lily's waist whilst Lily puts her hands on Fred's chest. They pull away slowly after a few seconds before putting their foreheads together. "I'm sorry," Lily whispers. "I shouldn't have yelled at you and I certainly shouldn't have said what I had said. And I'm so so so so sorry."
