The next day, Lily gets up in a slightly annoyed mood, her mood not lightening since last night. So when she gets into the Great Hall, all the can see is a swarm of students in the Entrance Hall, around the Goblet of Fire. "Happy Birthday, Lily," Lily hears someone say from behind her. She turns around, finding Ron, Hermione and Harry stood there.
"Happy birthday, sis," Harry says, making Lily smile.
"Thank you," she says before pulling them into a hug.
"You okay. You looked a bit down last night and you stormed out of the Great Hall right after Dumbledore finished explaining the Goblet of Fire," Hermione asks, her hands staying behind her back.
"It's nothing. Just the twins being the twins. Now," Lily begins. "I know you have a present behind you back so you might a well give it to me."
"Fine. I was hoping that you wouldn't notice," Hermione says. "My mum and dad helped me pick it out before summer ended but it's from the three of us."
Lily takes the present from Hermione's hand before putting it in her lap and carefulling pulling the paper from the box. Once the paper is off, the slowly opens the box, lifting it up slightly to see what's inside. A metallic Lily flower. "Guys, this is amazing. Thank you," Lily tells them, shutting the box nd putting it on the table next to her.
"You're welcome. But uh, the twins are coming this way with Lee and Angelina so we're gonna go," Ron says.
"Okay. But thanks for the gift," Lily says, watching the trio walk off towards the other side of the table. And not even a few seconds later, people sit around and opposite her.
"Happy 17th girly," Angelina says, making Lily roll her eyes at her friend.
"Thank you Angelina," Lily tells her.
"Happy Birthday, Lily," Lee, Fred and George tell her. She looks down at her food before looking at the boys.
"Thanks, boys," Lily tells the three before looking back the table to see presents in ront of her. She begins opening them one by one. She finds a silver jewellery box from Angelina, a photo frame with a picture of Angelina, Fred, George, Lee and Lily. Lily remembered that the photo was taken last year on her birthday. The photo frame was from Lee. There's a top in the next present. It has the words Greatest thing from 1978. The words of the top make Lily laugh slightly and she knew it was from George. When she finally opens Fred's present, a small gasp escapes from her mouth before it turns into a smile and she lifts up the box the necklace is in. The necklace is heart shaped with an engraving on both sides. The front has Lily engraved onto the front whilst the back has Happy Birthday, Love Fred.
Lily turned her head to look at Fred, admiration in her eyes. "Thank you, Fred," she whispers, kissing his cheek. She takes the necklace out the box before putting it on and allowing it to sit on top of her clothes.
