Lily wakes the next day, feeling better than how she did the next day but when she looks up, she finds Madam Pomfrey stood at the end of the bed. She coughs, pointing her head in the direction of the chair next to her, making Lily turn her head to find Fred sat in the chair, fast asleep. Lily's head quickly turns back to Madam Pomfrey to say a quick apology but she stops her before she can say anything. "It's fine. At least you weren't in the same bed," Madam Promfrey tells Lily, making her sigh. "Now, you're free to leave when you want."
With that, Lily nods her head before Madam Pomfrey walks off, allowing Lily to turn her head back to Fred. She grabs onto his hand before sitting up in the bed. "Baby," Lily whispers, rubbing Fred's hand as Fred begins to stur. "Baby," Lily whispers again and this time, Fred opens his eyes slightly, allowing Lily to see Fred's chocolate brown eyes that she loves.
"Morning, flower," Fred whispers. But his eyes suddenly widen, realising what he's just said.
"It's fine. Madam Pomfrey was fine, especially due to you not ending up in the same bed as me," Lily tells Fred, allowing Fred to calm down.
"That's good," he whispers. "What time's your first lesson?"
"We've got Potions with Snape, remember?" Lily asks making Fred groan.
"Do we have to go?" Fred asks as Lily sits on the edge of the bed, putting her boots back on so they can go back to the Gryffindor common room.
"Yes we do. But, you're lucky that you've done your potions homework," Lily says making Fred smile brightly.
"And that's because I have an amazing girlfriend who will help me with anything," Fred says, making Lily roll her eyes and laugh a bit.
"I know. But your amazing girlfriend would quite like to go back to the Gryffindor tower so that she can get ready for school and be on time for lesson, because I still have to get everything into the bag," Lily says, making Fred sigh as Lily stands up. "Come on."
Lily grabs onto Fred's hand, pulling him from the chair before they make their trek back up to the Gryffindor tower.

A month later, Valentine's Day slowly approaches, allowing Lily to get excited once more, especially due to this being her first valentine's day with a boyfriend. Her Freddie. At the thought of this, Lily's smile brightens. "What's gotten you so cheery?" Angelina asks Lily as they sit in the Great Hall together, waiting for the twins and Lee to arrive.
"It's my first Valentine's Day that I can properly celebrate because I'm with Fred and I love my Freddie," Lily says, her head resting in her hands as she swings it side to side. But Lily stops immediately after finishing her sentence. She looks over at Angelina, sitting up straight. The two girls stare at each other for a moment.
"D... Did you...?" Angelina asks.
"I... uh... I think I just did," Lily says, clear shock in her voice. Suddenly, a kiss is pressed to Lily's head.
