By the time Christmas rolls around, I'm in a better mood than before the Christmas break started and to be honest, it's been quite nice staying at Hogwarts because it's more magical than staying at home. The lake freezes solid and the grounds of Hogwarts cover in several feet of snow. The twins at this point start throwing snowballs at the back of Professor Quirrell's turban.
Now, it's Christmas Day and I'm walking down the stairs to the common room early in the morning before anyone is awake. I sit down in the chair that's next to the fireplace before grabbing my presents and opening them. I end up getting a red Christmas jump with a white 'L' in the middle of it, muggle books from Hermione, sweets from Fred and George, wizards chess set from Ron and quite a few more things from Lee, Ginny and Remus. However, one package for under the tree, near the base of it. I grab it before sitting back down in the chair. I begin to unwrap it but I see a black rectangular box so I pull it out of the rest of the wrapping paper but a note drops onto my lap before I could grab the black box in my hands.
This necklace was your mother's before she died. She wanted you to have it when you got into your third year. Don't break it.
A very Merry Christmas to you.
I stare at the note before holding the black box in my hands. I start feeling a little overwhelmed because of it but I grab hold of the top of it and pull it open. A necklace with a small red apple attached at the bottom of it. Picking it up, I smile to myself before I rub on the apple but I put it back into the box and shut it before gathering all of my things and walking back up to my dorm.

Fred, George and I fling ourselves into the first-year boy's dormitory. "Merry Christmas!" we all tell the boys before I sit down next to Harry on his bed and hug him. "Merry Christmas little one," I tell him before kissing his head.
"Hey, look- Harry's got a Weasley sweater, too!" Fred tells us and I smile at my baby brother.
Fred and George are wearing blue sweaters, one with a large yellow F on the front of it for Fred and the other has a large yellow G on the front of it for George.
"Harry and Lily's are better than ours though," Fred complains, holding up Harry's sweater and pointing at mine. "She obviously puts more effort in if you're not family."
"Why aren't you wearing yours, Ron?" George questions and I look over to Ron to see him in his pyjamas. "Come on, get it on, they're lovely and warm."
"I hate maroon," Ron states and I roll my eyes. He says that he hates it every Christmas yet he still ends up wearing it.
"You haven't got a letter on yours," I observe.
"I suppose she thinks you don't forget your name. But we're not stupid – we know we're called Gred and Forge," George cuts in.
"What's all this noise?" I hear someone ask so I look up and see Percy Weasley sticking his head through the door, looking disapproving. He has clearly gotten halfway through unwrapping his presents as he, too, carries a lumpy sweater over his arm, which Fred seizes.
"P for Prefect! Get it on, Percy, come on, we're all wearing ours, even Harry's got one."
"I – don't – want – " Percy says thickly, as the twins force the sweater over his head.
"And you're not sitting with the prefects today, either," says George. "Christmas is a time for family."
Fred and George frog-march Percy from the room, his arms still pinned to his side by his sweater.

As we all come back up to the common room from the Great Hall from having Christmas dinner. Fred and George sit down in either side of the sofa and I lay down in the middle of them, laying my head down on Fred's lap and my feet on George's lap. "Why am I always left with your legs?" he asks me and I laugh slightly.
"Because if my legs weren't on your lap then I wouldn't be able to do this," I begin before kicking George in the stomach with my heel. Fred and I laugh as George groans in pain and leans forwards. "Jesus woman! What was that all about?" George asks.
I shrug my shoulders. "I don't want to. I mean, I just wanted to do something and I don't feel like punching Fred so I kicked you. But at least I didn't hit the most painful part of your body," I tell him as Fred begins to stroke my hair.
"So, I feel as if we haven't pranked anyone in so long, I want to do something when everyone gets back. Preferably on Slytherin," Fred changes the topic.
"Any Slytherin or all of them in general?" I ask.
"All in general. They deserve it," George tells me.
"Why do I get the feeling that you two have talked about this and are planning to do this with or without my help?" I ask them and they both nod their heads.
"Yes, we did. But we knew that you would help us," George tells me and I look at him in confusion.
"Why?" I ask in confusion.
"Because you're in love with Fred," George teases me and I sit up before punching him on the arm.
"I don't fancy Fred!" I yell, getting up from the sofa and walking over to the stairs.
"Hey! I was joking! I was joking!" he yells at me but I just keep walking up the stairs but I stop at the balcony type area where you can look down into the common room.
"And just so you know, I hate you. Both of you," I sneer at the boys before storming up to my dorm.

Sorry that I haven't posted in a while. It's just with assessments for school coming up and homework being piled onto everyone at school, including me, I haven't had time to finish writing this chapter or post it.
