Part Three 삼

"I don't know, Yana, it sounds crazy! I think you should come back home!" I joke. I hear Yana laugh through the phone. "You're so dramatic, Ali!" She laughs, even though she knows I was kidding.

Her and Jim are traveling around the world for the second month now. They already went to a few countries in Africa, Asia and last week they arrived in Europe. For years they wanted to do this, but they never had a chance, until now. I know Yana wanted to do this ever since she graduated from high school and I am really happy she has someone to go with her and enjoy this adventure with her.

"But for real though, you'll stay save, right?" I ask her, "I don't really feel like going all the way to Europe to save you from a bunch of pirates." Yana bursts out laughing. "Pirates?! Like everyone in Europe is a pirate!" She laughs. I laugh with her. "Aren't they?" I joke.

"Besides that, I bet you wouldn't mind coming back to Europe for me, you've been her a couple times before!" Yana points out. I smile and nod. "True, true. It wasn't so bad," I joke, of course Europe was amazing and we had the best time there. I remember how easy it was to travel from Paris to Rome. It felt like the cities were right next to each other!

"Not so bad?! Are you kidding me? Europe is the best!" Yana says, "Can I just pretend to be in danger so you'd come over here?" I laugh and smile wide. "I wish I could come over so easily," I tell her.

"Well, then there is just one solution to this problem..." Yana says. "What? Quitting my job? I am not doing that, never!" I laugh. Yana laughs, "No not that. We just make a deal, here and now, that we'll go to Europe together." I smile wide and get excited by the idea. "Deal! When? Where can I sign?" I ask.

Yana laughs, "Oh don't worry, I will get it on paper. That will probably be the only way to get you away from your husband." I laugh, "yes, only with the written word, you're allowed to take me with you." Yana laughs, "Great, then that's what I'll do!"

Then I hear some noise on the background. It sounds like loud music. "Babe, can you turn that down a bit? I am on the phone with Ali!" Yana tells Jim. "Still? You called her an hour ago!" Jim says. Yana and I laugh. "Has it already been an hour?" Yana laughs.

"Yes it has, we need to leave for our dinner reservation in half an hour," I hear Jim say. Yana scares, "oh damn, then I need to start getting ready. Ali, I'll call you back soon, okay?" I smile wide, even though she can't see it. "Sure, no problem! Have fun at dinner," I tell her.

"Thank you! Talk to you soon, love you!" Yana says. "Love you too!" I tell her before we hang up the phone. Before I am able to put my phone down, I see Yoongi has sent me a text.

Suga: Hi Ali, you still at the office?

I smile and look around me. I am indeed in my office. It is already past seven PM, but it is no surprise that I am here at this hour. I often like to stay here a little longer and just work a little more or hang out. Like today, I was still working around six, but then Yana called me, so I stayed in my office and answered her call.

But I am not the only one who does that. In fact, a lot of my colleagues taught me this. Almost everyone likes to stay a little longer here. Not just for work, but also just to hang out. Some people hit the gym after work or hang in the cafetaria - which also suits as a bar - inside the building.

Besides, today Taehyung had a gym session planned till half past eight and Yoonah is sleeping over at Taehyung's parents' place. She always loves to sleep over at their place and they love to have her, so she does that every once in a while. Just like today. Since she also took Yeontan with her - I swear they are like best friends or even soulmates together - there is nobody at home. So I like to stay here at the office.
