I take a deep breath. It is Friday, nearly one P.M. It doesn't happen a lot that I am still at work at this hour. On Friday, Yoonah finishes school at noon so I finish working a few minutes before noon to be able to pick her up from school.

Ever since we got Yoonah, I decided to stop working fulltime and start working parttime. When she started going to school, I changed my work schedule to her school hours. So because she had Wednesday and Friday afternoon off, I did too. It has always worked very well for all of us. Of course, Taehyung can't change his schedule so easily, so we were very glad I could. It was also the best for Yoonah. Even though she didn't mind spending time with her grandparents or daycare, she loved being home with her mother, just like I loved being home with my daughter. As it was supposed to be.

But sometimes Taehyung is able to get Friday afternoon off to pick up Yoonah. Whenever his schedule allows it, he takes time off and picks up Yoonah from school. He absolutely loves to spend the afternoon with her. Weither it is just at home with her or going somewhere together. Because whenever he gets the chance, he takes her places. Funfairs, parks, the zoo, playgrounds, anything. That's why he is such an amazing dad. He always finds ways to make his princess happy.

I get back into reality when my phone rings. I look up and see my phone on my desk. I look at the caller ID and see it is Mrs. Lee, Yoonah's teacher. I feel confused and look at the time. We didn't have something planned, right? I sit straight and answer the phone. "Kim Alyssa speaking," I say. "Hello Mrs. Kim," Mrs. Lee says, "I am so sorry to bother you. Is this a right time?" I smile, she is so kind. "I am at work, but what is it about?" I ask. "I was just wondering if someone is on their way to pick up Yoonah?" She asks. I feel confused and check the time again. Yoonah finished school nearly an hour ago, didn't she?

"To pick her up? My husband picked her up, right?" I ask. I don't know why I am asking her. Taehyung and I talked about it and agreed he would pick her up today. "Uhm, well he didn't actually. Nobody did. Not yet, at least. Yoonah is still here, waiting," Mrs. Lee says. I feel even more confused. "Nobody picked her up yet?" I ask. I heard her correctly, but I feel like she is making a mistake. Taehyung has picked her up. I mean, I haven't heard from him, but I suppose he picked her up by now. But how could Mrs. Lee make a mistake? If Yoonah is still there, it is clear nobody picked her up yet.

"Yes, so I was wondering if something is wrong? Normally someone picks her up on time," Mrs. Lee explains. "Yes, you're right. My husband was supposed to pick her up," I tell her again. I start to freak out, but try to stay calm. Where is Taehyung? Why hasn't he picked up Yoonah yet? What do I need to do to fix this? What can I do?

"Mrs. Lee, I will make sure someone will come to pick up Yoonah in a few minutes," I tell her. That is all she needs to know, because that is why she is calling. I mean, I need to figure out where Taehyung is and why he isn't with Yoonah, but step one is to finish this phone call with Mrs. Lee. "I'm glad to hear that. I will make sure she stays with me until someone arrives," She assures me. "Thank you. I am so sorry about this. My husband or myself will come to pick her up very soon," I tell her. "That's okay, it happens. I will see you or your husband in a few minutes," she says, "Have a good day, Mrs. Kim." "Thank you, you too," I say and end the phone call.

I immediately stand up from my chair. I close my laptop and pack my things. I need to find Taehyung, but if I can't I need to I will go to get Yoonah myself. Since I am not finished working, I want to take my stuff with me.

"Everything okay?" James asks me. I scare by the sound of his voice. Right, I wasn't alone in this office. "Yes," I tell him, but my head is a chaos, "Well, no actually. Taehyung was supposed to pick up Yoonah from school, but he hasn't showed. So I will find him or go pick up Yoonah myself." I try to explain everything and grab my things and hurry at the same time. "Okay, stay calm okay? I am sure you will find him or there is some kind of misunderstanding," James tries to calm me. "I think so too," I say and check if I have all my stuff. "Sorry for leaving in such a hurry," I tell him. "No problem," He assures me with a small smile, "Go get your child or your husband or both. And have a nice weekend." I smile at him, "Thanks. Have a nice weekend. I'll keep you updated!"

I hurry out of my office holding all my bags. I go to the elevators and press the button to go up. In the mean time, I grab my phone and try to call Taehyung. I think he is on his way to Yoonah. But on the other hand, why is he so late?

I softly scold when he doesn't answer his phone. "Where are you?" I softly ask. I call him again, but he still doesn't answer. I take a deep breath and send him a quick tekst.

Me: Where are you? Call me please

When the doors of the elevator open, I hurry out and hurry to Taehyung's studio. Before I walk in, I knock the door. I am surprised I even thought about that while I am nearly panicking. "Taehyung?" I ask and try the door, but it's locked. I sigh annoyed and grab my keys. I'm glad I have a key to his studio for situations like this. Even though it seems unlikely he is in here with the door locked. He never does that.

When I unlock the door and look inside, my thoughts are confirmed. Taehyung is not here. I walk out and lock the door behind me. I hurry through the halls and notice the studios of the other guys seem empty and quiet as well.

When I get to the conference room of their floor, I hear some voices. For a second I pause to listen to the voices and figure out who they belong to. When I hear Yoongi and Jin, I knock on the door. "Come in!" I hear Jimin say.

I open the door and look around. But Jin, Yoongi and Jin are the only ones inside. "Hey Ali!" Jin greets me, but then they see the look on my face. "Are you okay?" Yoongi immediately asks. He stands up from his chair. "I am, well kinda," I say, "Have you seen Taehyung?" "No, he left like an hour ago," Jimin says, "Why? Is everything okay?" I take a deep breath. He left an hour ago... Wait, why hasn't he picked up Yoonah by now?

"He left an hour ago?" I ask, ignoring the other questions. "Yes, but I am sure he will be back soon," Jimin says. I feel even more confused than I did when I was on the phone with Mrs. Lee. "He will be back?" I ask confused, "He said he would come back here? With Yoonah?" Jimin, Yoongi and Jin look as confused as I do. "Yoonah? No, he went with Ye-Jun. What do you mean Yoonah?" Jin asks.

It feels like my mind explodes. "Ye-Jun?" I ask. Did he seriously went to pick up with her? "Ali? What is going on with Yoonah?" Yoongi asks worried. "Taehyung is picking her up, right?" I ask instead. "No, he went to grab lunch with Ye-Jun," Jimin says.

Everything seems to fall into place. And with that, I feel my heart break. I feel like my legs turn to pudding and I am about to drop on the floor. I try to process what is going on, but I can barely believe it. Taehyung went for lunch with Ye-Jun. He forgot to pick up Yoonah, didn't he? He clearly told the guys he was going out for lunch with Ye-Jun and come back after. He never mentioned Yoonah. He forgot about her, didn't he?

I try not to think about the fact that he went out with Ye-Jun. I try not to think about the fact that he forgot about his daughter. Maybe he even forgot about taking the afternoon off.

But then I realize that Yoonah is still at school. I need to pick her up right now. With that, I snap back into reality.

"Ali? Is everything okay?" Yoongi asks me. I take a deep breath to calm myself, knowing I can't drive when I'm stressed or panicked or confused. "Yes, I am," I assure him, "I'm going to pick up Yoonah then." Jin, Jimin and Yoongi look even more confused. "Yoonah? Didn't she finish school like an hour ago?" Jin asks. My heart aches. Even Jin knew. But clearly Taehyung didn't. Or he thought I or his parents would pick him up. I don't know.

"She did," I tell them, "Taehyung was meant to pick her up an hour ago, but she is still there." They all scare. "What?" Yoongi asks, clearly worried. "Yes, but I will pick her up now. Can you ask Tae to call me?" I ask. They all nod. "We will, drive safe okay?" Jimin asks. "Of course, thanks guys!" I say. Without wasting a second, I go back to the elevators. I quickly go down and go to the garage. I don't even try to call Taehyung anymore. It doesn't even matter anymore. The only thing that matters right now, is that Yoonah will be picked up at school. My anger, my worry, my confusion or even my jealousy don't matter right now.
