Part One Hundred and Nineteen 백십구

~ Taehyung ~

I sit in the studio with Namjoon. I am trying to record our new song, but I can't focus... I have so much on my mind today... I can't seem to figure out how to sing this song. The song is about our ARMY and how thankful we are for them. Which we of course all are. But today I have something else in my head...

It has been a week since I first told our idea of the public relationship to our management. Well, back then it was just an online meeting with me, Mitch and Choi Min-Jun, one of the owners of Hybe entertainment. 

When I proposed our idea, they both were shocked. Min-Jun stayed quiet while Mitch asked me what we had in mind and why. Mitch seemed like he would do his best to help us, but Min-Jun looked very against it... At the end of the meeting we agreed that Mitch would speak to some people to see what he can do. But no promises...

Today, Alyssa and I will have a meeting with Mitch again, to discuss what discovered until now. I have no idea what to expect... I am trying not to get my hopes up, but I really, really want to make this work. Mitch seemed kinda okay with it, but if the management would disagree, we have nothing. Then it will just be a big no...

"Tae?" I scare and look at Namjoon through the glass window. Right, I was in the studio recording a song. Or something...

"Are you okay?" He asks me. I nod and look at the lyrics in front of me again. "Yes, let's try it again," I say. I put my hand on my headphones to concentrate on the music... That doesn't come.

I look at Namjoon. Why hasn't he started the music again? But when I see the look on his face, I already know what he is about to say. "Why don't we take a break?" He suggests. I sigh and nod. Probably a good idea. "Yeah, okay," I say and take off my headphones.

I leave the recording room and go to Namjoon's side of the glass. We both take a seat on the couch there. Namjoon looks at me and looks worried. "Are you okay?" He asks me again. I smile and nod. "I am," I tell him, but I know he doesn't believe me. So before he asks again, I just spill it myself. "Today we will hear back from Mitch..." I sigh.

Namjoon nods, "Ah, that explains a lot. Why didn't you say so before? We could reschedule this recording session." I look at him and see a kind smile on his face. "Yeah... I know..." I sigh, "But I wanted to just go on with my day. A little distraction wouldn't hurt..." Namjoon nods, "I understand. But I think no distraction will help right now. What time is your meeting with him?"

I look at the time. "In an hour..." I say. Namjoon nods, "Okay, why don't we stop for today then? I think you should clear your head for a little. And not with singing. Maybe you can go to the dance studio? Or work out for a moment?" I look up to him and see his concerned face. I smile and nod. "Thank you, appa," I joke. Namjoon laughs and gives me a playful push. "Oh stop it, Tae," He laughs.

Namjoon was right, as always. Some dancing really helped me. I really needed it. Even if it was just for half an hour or so.

I quickly put on some fresh clothes - thank god for the amazing showers in this place - and find my way to Alyssa's office. I texted her before and she said her day was going way too slow too, so I hope she got some work done by now. And if not, the world won't end. This is an importand and scary day for the both of us.

When I get to her office, she is already standing outside. A smile appears on her nervous face when she sees me. "Hey handsome," she says and wraps her arms around me. "Hey beautiful," I tell her and hold her close.

"Are you ready?" I ask her. "Nope, are you?" She asks. I laugh, "Nope!"

We both let go and look at each other. "But whatever happens, I love you and I will fight for you," I tell her. I see her cheeks blush. "I love you too, Tae," she says, "And I will fight for you too." I laugh and put a kiss on her cheek. "I wouldn't let you," I wink playfully. She laughs and grabs my hand. "Yeah, I know, but I'd still fight for you," she jokes.
