~ Alyssa ~

"Ali! Ali wake up!" I scare and open my eyes. I immediately see the bright eyes of Yana next to me. She smiles wide, "Good morning, sleeping beauty!" I laugh and stretch out. We are still in the plane on our way to LA, but as I look around me, it seems like we are ready for landing. I feel a little confused when I realise I sit next to the window, but then I remember that Yoonah went to sit with Kaylee and her son Haneul and Yana came to sit with Yoongi and me.

"Did you sleep well?" Yana asks me. I nod and fasten my belt to get ready to land. "I did, thankfully. Did you sleep?" I ask her. "Only for a little bit, but Yoongi and I watched some movies," she smiles. I look at Yoongi, sitting next to her. "Oh fun! What movies did you watch?" I ask. "Very bad ones," Yoongi laughs. "They weren't bad!" Yana defends her movies. "They were. The acting was horrible and the plot was very clear from the beginning," Yoongi complains, making Yana and me laugh.

"Yeah, well your action movies weren't any good either," Yana teases, making Yoongi laugh. "You liked them maybe even more than I did," he jokes. Yana laughs and rolls her eyes. "Don't exaggerate," she laughs. "What do you mean? That's all I'm good at?" He jokes and we all laugh.

The conversation continues during the landing. Luckily we touch the ground very easily and the plane stops not long later. Even before the doors of the plane open, all the passenger stand up and get ready to get off the plane. I quickly find Yoonah, grab our bags and follow everyone to the exit. Luckily we find the rest of our baggage quickly as well and don't have to wait at the airport for too long.

Since all the members of BTS, Kaylee, Jesse, Yana, Yoonah and I have our own places to stay and won't stay at the hotel, we don't follow the rest of the group once we leave the airport. When they go to the buses to go to the hotel, we all go to the cars to drive us to our houses.

Just as Jin helps me to put my suitcase in the car, Taehyung comes up to me. I can't help but feel annoyed that he only comes to me when Ye-Jun is not around. "Hey Ali, I'll go straight to Jimin's house where I'll stay during the trip," he informs me. I nod, "Yeah, I know." He smiles a little and looks at Yoonah. "Did you have a good flight?" He asks her. Yoonah wraps her arms around him and leans on him as she closes her eyes. "I'm tired..." She says. Taehyung smiles a little. "Well, good thing you can sleep for the rest of the day, princess," he tells her.

She nods, but it looks like she is already drifting off to sleep while holding him. Taehyung looks up to me as he wraps his arms around Yoonah. "Did you have a good flight too?" He asks me. I nod, "I did. But I am glad to stand on the ground again." I obviously won't tell him how much I hated to see him with Ye-Jun for the entire flight.

Taehyung smiles and nods, "Yeah me too." He looks back at Yoonah and puts a soft kiss on her head. "Why don't you get into the car, princess? Then you can go home and go to bed," he tells her. Yoonah nods and lets go of him. "See you soon, appa," she tells him and takes a seat in the car. "See you soon, princess! Love you, darling," he tells her.

Then he looks back at me again. "You go to your parents tomorrow, right?" He asks me. I feel a lump in my throat. "Yes, that's right," I tell him. The original plan was for the three of us to go to my parents. We would have dinner and then Yoonah would stay with them so they can watch her as we go to the AMA's the next day. But since Taehyung and I are broken up now, he won't join us. We both know it would be a bad idea for him to come as well. I haven't told my parents about our break up yet, but we both know how they will react. Especially my dad...

"Okay. Then I will come by before you go there," he says. I nod, "Okay. We'll see you then." I try to quickly cut off the conversation by getting into the car. Taehyung just nods and goes to the other car.

Since all our houses are close by each other, we can travel home together. But of course we don't fit in one car. So I end up sharing the car with Jin, Jungkook, Naomi and Yoonah. As I get into the back seat with Yoonah, she lays her head against my arm and she falls asleep right away with Yeontan on her lap. I smile as I put a kiss on her head. I am so glad I have her...

We get to the house very quickly. I say bye to all the others and take Yoonah inside. Since she slept in the car, she is a little more energetic now. The same goes for Yeontan. Traveling by plane for him isn't easy either. But the nap in the car with Yoonah seems to be the best medicine. Like they haven't been her in ages, they start to run through the house. "My room is so big!" Yoonah cheers. I laugh and put her bags in her room. "Did you forget what it looked like?" I ask her.

Yoonah giggles and nods her head. "It's been a long time," she reminds me. She is right. It has been at least five months since we've last been here. "Are you happy to be back?" I ask her. She nods, "Yes! I love Korea, but I love this house more." I laugh and put a kiss on her head. "Well then it's good to be back," I tell her.

I take my own suitcase and bring it to my room. I feel my heart ache when I see all the photo's of me and Taehyung. I take them and put them in the closet so I don't have to look at them. When I notice how empty the walls look without them, I tell myself I need to put more photo's of Yoonah, the other members and our other friends in our house. Especially in this room.

I drop myself on the couch in the living room and take a deep breath. Damn, traveling is exhausting! I even feel like my stomach did a looping during the flight or something. I really could go for a good night sleep now, but it is only five in the afternoon and Yoonah and Yeontan are full with energy.

I know I can't get them to go to sleep now, so I just have to stay strong for a little longer. Maybe some fresh air will help me. "Hey Yoonah, do you want to take a walk with me? See if we still know the way?" I ask her. Yoonah giggles and cheers. "Yes!" She quickly grabs Yeontan's leash again and we go outside.

I was right. In the fresh air, I feel a lot better. I see some people walking on the street, I hear everyone talk in English again, I see the familiar buildings and areas again... Yes, we are really back. Yoonah seems very excited as well. She runs around and leads us to her favorite playground easily. I can't stop smiling when I see the other parents, sitting on the benches and enjoying the sun as their kids - just like mine - play on the playground.

Yoonah takes Yeontan with her to the slide. As she takes a seat to slide down, she puts Yeontan on her lap and holds him close. Luckily, he is used to it. And if you'd ask me, he likes it as well. He absolutely loves Yoonah and looks just as happy as she does in this playground.

As I sit on the bench with my face in the sun, I try to forget everything and just relax. I try to enjoy the fact that we're back here, that we're home. Don't get me wrong, our house in Korea feels like home as well, but this is my place to be. It always will be. No matter how much I love Korea.

So I just enjoy the sun, the sound of a laughing Yoonah and a barking Yeontan. I also hear the other kids play in the playground and I hear their parents talk to each other or to their kids. I hear how some parents try to control their kids, while others motivate their kids to play with others. But most importantly, I don't hear something related to work or to stress. I don't see or hear Ye-Jun or any of her crew and I don't hear or see Taehyung. I know neither of them are anywhere near me. It's just me, my child and our dog. Along with a few strangers and the noise of Los Angles.
