Part Forty 사십

Together with Kaylee and Yana I lay on the couch. We're watching the fourth movie of the day. Since none of us were feeling like watching a Romcom or anything near that, we watched some action movies. The problem is, most of these movies have a romantic storyline as well. I was really worried that I wouldn't take that very well. But luckily I have my own superheroes by my side.

"He doesn't really love you!" Kaylee shouts at the screen as the main characters finally have their first kiss. "It's all a lie!" Yana adds. We all giggle. "He will leave you to save the world!" I add. "Don't do it! Just marry the bad guy!" Kaylee says. Yana and I laugh. "He did look cute," Yana says. We all agree and watch the end credits rolling over the screen.

"Okay, what's next?" Kaylee asks. She scrolls through Netflix. "Oeh, let's do K-drama's!" Yana says. We all agree and Kaylee searches for good K-drama's. I roll my eyes as I see Hwarang, the series Taehyung featured from 2016. "If you play Hwarang, I will kill you," I warn Kaylee. She laughs, "I won't, I promise."

Yana gets up from the couch. "I want another Sex on the Beach. What about you?" She asks, holding up her empty glass. "Me!" Kaylee says. "Oh well, then I will call Jesse for you," I joke and wink at her. Kaylee laughs and throws a pillow at me. "Shut up you!" She laughs. "I'll call him!" Yana says and runs away with her phone. Kaylee jumps up and runs after her. "Don't you dare!" She shouts. I jump off the couch as well and run after the both of them. I see how Kaylee tries to take Yana's phone from her by tickling her. "Ali help me!" Yana shouts.

I run to Kaylee and try to grab her arms to stop her. When I realize that it won't work, I start to tickle her as well. Kaylee starts to laugh, turns around and tries to grab my arms to stop me. This gives Yana a chance to escape. "Ha!" She laughs proudly. "N-No! Please don't call him!" Kaylee begs as she still tries to fight me off.

"Come on, Kayls! You are the only taken woman of us now! You need to live that life to the fullest and just have sex on the beach!" Yana jokes. We all burst out laughing. "You are crazy!" Kaylee laughs. "Just think about us when you climb on top of Jesse again, okay?" Yana winks. "YANA!" Kaylee shouts and runs after her once again. Yana quickly runs away while shouting and laughing. But when Kaylee realizes it is no use to run after Yana again, she stops and just laughs. "I have two kids, okay? My times of running around the house are over," she says and drops herself on the floor

"Are you kidding? Aren't your days of running around the house just beginning?" I joke. Kaylee laughs as well, "Well, you're actually not wrong." Yana and I drop ourselves on the floor next to Kaylee. Apparently we are not at all in a mood to find a chair or go all the way back to the couch to take a seat.

For a moment we are all quiet. Or actually, we need time to catch our breathes. Yana lays down on the floor and spreads her arms. "How am I the only one without kids?" She asks. Kaylee sighs deeply and lays down as well, following Yana's lead. "It is not that hard, just find a guy and a bed and boom," Kaylee jokes. I lay down next to them and stare at the ceiling. "Speak for yourself..." I say. Kaylee looks up at me and lets her hand touch mine. "Sorry, that's true. It is not that easy," she says, "Some are just lucky." I smile a little and hold her hand. "And some only get pregnant when it's not planned," I say. 

Yana groans, "Why is it that hard? Why can't women just decide when to get pregnant and when to have a simple one night stand?" "Because then you would have way too many one night stands," I joke. Yana shoots me a glare, but then we all laugh. "Probably true. After staying loyal to one guy who wasn't even loyal to me, I am surprised that I am not having a new guy every single night," Yana jokes. We all laugh once again.

All of a sudden, Yana stops laughing. She turns to me and grins. "Oeh... Ali!" She starts, meaning her next words won't be good, "You are single now too! So we can both go out and have some fun!" I start to laugh and put my hands on my face. "Oh my god! Yana!" I say, but Yana just laughs. "Why not?" She asks. "Honestly, I think it will be good for you, Ali," Kaylee adds.
