Part One Hundred and Thirteen 백십삼

"I don't know, babe, you know my dad! He can eat a lot," I tell Taehyung over the phone. I stand at the butcher and look at all the meat in front of me. Tonight my parents will come over for dinner. Taehyung came with the idea to do a barbecue. Since we both love that very much - and so do my parents - I agreed right away. But now we need to decide what and how much meat we will need.

"That's very true, so just bring that extra beef then," Taehyung tells me after he just convinced me I had enough meat already. To be real, I have quite some meat in my shopping cart. But I am doubting if we need more. I am not sure. I am always doubting these things.

"Really? If we have way too much, we will be eating meat for the entire week!" I tell him with a laugh. Taehyung laughs as well. "Fine with me! But you know we can also give your parents some to take home, or we can invite my brothers. We will be out of meat in no time!" He laughs.

He is right. It will be quite easy to get rid of the extra meat if we can't eat it all tonight. Plus, my dad can eat a lot, if he feels like it. And he sure loves his meat.

Perhaps also a great way to bribe him and to keep things friendly tonight. Because god knows it will be anything but an easy dinner tonight. My parents are both very confused that Tae and I are back together again. One more than the other...

I just hope my dad will not scream at us or say things we will all regret...

I even thought about asking someone to watch Yoonah. I don't want her around if my dad goes crazy on Tae and me. But my parents miss their granddaughter as well... They want to see her too. So I just pray my dad will stay calm or that I will at least have enough time to take her to a different room before he starts to scream or something.

"Can I help you?" The employee asks me. I smile at her and see how she just now notices that I am on the phone. "Oh sorry," She quickly apologizes. I smile at her and hold my phone away from my ear. "Oh no worries," I tell her, "But I think I have everything." She smiles and nods. "Okay, great!" She says.

I put my phone back on my ear. "Honey, I will pay now," I tell Taehyung. "Okay, I'll hang on," he says. I was planning to just hang up the phone and talk more when I am home, but this works too, I guess. "Okay!" I tell him and put my phone away without hanging up.

The employee puts everything in a bag while I pay for all the meat. "It's great weather for a barbecue, isn't it?" She asks with a kind smile. I laugh, it is very obvious that we are hosting a barbecue with this amount of meat.

"Yes, it is for sure! Now some nice drinks and we have the best barbecue," I joke. She nods, "For sure! Oeh, now I am looking forward to a barbecue with cocktails!" I laugh, "Oh, yes! That sounds amazing!" She hands me my bag. "Well, the liquor store is down the road for some great cocktails," She says with a wink.

I nearly tell her that I can't have alcohol right now, but I stop myself just in time. Did I just want to tell this stranger that I am pregnant while the world it not allowed to know yet? Yes, I guess so.

"Thank you! They probably have some good stuff," I tell her instead. She smiles and nods. "For sure! Have a great barbecue!" She says. I smile back to her, "Thank you! Have a great day too!"

I grab my phone again as I go out of the store. "I'm back," I tell Taehyung. I hear a soft laugh from him. "Did you just talk about a barbecue with cocktails?" He laughs. I smile as I walk to my car. "Yes, I did. Not that I can have any cocktail, but it was a nice talk though," I tell him. "It sure sounded like that, yeah," he laughs.

When I get closer to my car, I see a group of people on the side walk. It's a group of about 20 teenage girls. They are talking very loudly and they make a lot of noise, what makes me look at them for a split second. But I quickly move my eyes away from them and walk on.
