Part Thirty-Six 삼십육

I close the door behind me and drop my bag on the floor. I am welcomed by the smell of rice and fried chicken. A small smile breaks through on my face. I almost forgot that tonight was date night. Every once in a while Taehyung and I make sure we have a date night together. A night for just the two of us. Sometimes we go out, sometimes we stay at home.

For this date night, we decided to stay at home and have dinner here. Taehyung offered to make dinner, which is special, since I am the one who cooks the most at home. So I am very curious what he has made today. The smell is already very good, that's for sure.

I walk into the kitchen and am surprised by what I see. I see the dining table is fully set up with candles, roses and nice plates. The kitchen looks a bit like a mess, but the man standing behind the pans, looking a little stressed, looks very adorable. "Hey handsome," I walk over to him to see what he is cooking, but he immediately blocks my view. "Hey beautiful," he says, "I am almost ready." I laugh as I see the worried smile on his face. "Are you okay?" I ask him. He laughs and puts a soft kiss on my head. "I am, I just want to keep it a surprise for you," He says. I giggle and feel my cheeks blush.

"Okay, I'll get dressed then," I say. I put a kiss on his cheek and go into the bedroom. I am not sure if he is aware of the strong smell of fried chicken and rice in the entire house, but I decide not to tell him and let him keep his surprise.

I grab my strapless, dark blue dress and get changed. The dress is tight around my body, showing my curves and reaches halfway my lower leg. One side of the skirt of the dress is open, which reveals my leg. I decide to wear leggings underneath my dress since it is not too warm here. I quickly fix my make-up and my hair and go back into the kitchen.

The mess I saw a few minutes ago, is gone. I am not sure if Taehyung hid it somewhere or actually cleaned it up this fast. The lights in the house are dimmed, what makes it more romantic with the candles. I hear soft music play on the background, completing the setting.

Taehyung appears right beside me. I feel my heart skip a few beats as I look at him. He wears a red suit with a white shirt underneath it. His dark eyes and the waves in his hair finish his look completely. I take a step back to carelessly check him out. I notice he even put on his nice, leather shoes for our date night. The red suit fits him like it is made for him. But on the other hand, I have never seen anything that didn't fit him.

A small smirk plays on his lips as he offers me his arm. "My lady, will you follow me to the table?" He asks me formally. I try to hold my laugh and take his arm. "Of course, sir," I tell him. We go to our table and as a true gentleman, Taehyung lets me sit down and adjusts my chair for me. "Thank you, sir," I tell him and bow my head a little.

Taehyung grabs a bottle of wine and opens it. "Can I interest you in your favorite wine?" He asks. "Well yes please," I smile and hold my glass for him. He happily fills my glass and his own glass. Then he walks away again. He comes back with two plates and places them on the table. They are both filled with rice, some vegetables and fried chicken. Of course he dressed up the plates like only Kim Taehyung can do.

"Oeh, it looks very good!" I smile wide. Taehyung takes a seat as well and smiles proudly. "Well, thank you," he smiles. "I hope it tastes well too," he says. He grabs his glass and holds it in the air. I smile wide and hold my glass up as well. "To you and to an amazing night," he smiles. "And to you," I tell him and we toast. I take a sip of the wine and smile wide. "Very good," I smile. Taehyung chuckles and agrees. "I made it myself," he jokes with a wink. I laugh, "Oh I didn't know you did that. That's very impressive!"

We both start to eat. Just like I expected, the food is very good. "Well done!" I smile wide. Taehyung smiles and bows. "Thank you! I made it myself as well," He laughs. I shake my head, "No, that can't be true. I don't believe you anymore." We both laugh and take another bite.
