Part Fifty-Eight 오십팔

~ Alyssa ~

"But Alyssa, you have a familiar face, have we met before?" Wooyoung asks me. Kaylee, Yana and me are still hanging out with the members of ATEEZ during the after party. We have been here for a few hours, I believe. While we actually thought we would just say hi, we all started talking and we haven't stopped yet. We really click together. The conversations with them are very light and breezy and very fun.

"Uhm, no we haven't. I've been a fan of you for years, but I haven't even seen you perform live once before," I explain. Wooyoung stares at me and is in deep thought, but then he shakes his head. "Then I don't know what it is," he finally says. "Maybe you just have a very familiar face," San suggests. "That must be it," I smile. For a second I realize it can be because of all the drama around mine and Taehyung's relationship at the time we got exposed, but I leave that in the dark and don't mention it.

"Does anyone want another drink?" Seonghwa asks us all. Everyone agrees right away. "Oeh, get some champagne," Mingi says. Seonghwa laughs, "I'll try!" "Wait, I'll help you," Kaylee offers and follows him through the crowd. As the conversations decrease a little, Yana looks at me standing between Yeosang and Yunho. "They look like your body guards, Ali," Yana jokes.

Everyone looks at us and laughs. "They do," San laughs. I get it, I am not very big and they are both taller and bigger thanks to all their muscles. "I do feel very safe," I smile. Yunho and Yeosang laugh. "Well, guys, you might actually need to protect her, since her evil ex is walking around here," Yana says with a wink. I freeze when she says that. Why did she say that? Is she trying to tease me or joke around or is this thanks to the glasses of alcohol she has consumed in the past hours.

But thankfully, everyone laughs about it and doesn't take it too seriously. Yunho puts his and Yeosang's arm around my shoulders to form a shield around me. "No worries, Alyssa! We will protect you," He jokes. Yeosang laughs as well and they both keep their arms around me. I can't help but laugh as well and put my arms around their backs. "Thanks guys! I need it!" I laugh.

Seonghwa and Kaylee come back with a lot of glasses filled with champagne. Kaylee quickly comes to me and winks as she gives me a glass. I know she means it is alcohol free and smile thankfully. Yunho and Yeosang both leave their arm around me as they grab the glass of champagne with their free hand. "Cheers!" Yeosang says. We all cling our glasses and smile. "Cheers!"

Yana laughs as she looks at Yeosang, Yunho and me. "Wow, they take their job very seriously," she notices. Yeosang, Yunho and I laugh and look at each other. "Sorry, should we take it off?" Yeosang asks, moving his arm already, but I shake my head and put my hand on his, to keep is arm around me. I kinda like having them close to me. Believe it or not, it actually feels safe. Plus it also feels nice to have someone standing like this with me. Just carelessly and kindly with their arms around me...

Speaking of the devil, Jimin, Yoongi and Taehyung come over to us. "Hey guys," Jimin says. He, Taehyung and Yoongi come to join us around the table. "You are not stealing our crew, are you?" Yoongi jokes, looking at Yana, Kaylee and me. The guys laugh, but I can't help but look at Taehyung. I see how his eyes go to Yeosang's and Yunho's arms around me, but he quickly looks away from me. Yeosang notices it too and I feel how he moves his arm to take it off. Without thinking, I grab his hand and pull is arm back around my shoulders and hold it there.

Yeosang smiles and feels confident again. He even leans a little closer to stand more comfortably next to me. As expected, Taehyung looks at us once again, but he doesn't say anything. It kinda feels good that he is bothered by it. I would even say he gets jealous, which would mean he still cares about me this much. It feels nice to know, but it also feels powerful.
