Part Eighteen 십팔

I sit behind my computer. I read all my notes again and again with my heart beating in my throat. My hands shake as I scroll back up in my document to read the first lines again. I am so nervous...

Today James and I will present a new idea for our management. After all the shows this company has done and all the bands they have signed, we thought of a new TV-show. A show that brings bands and fandoms together. Bands can get to know each other and make music together. Something I know the fans will love.

It is not completely new. Multiple bands have done shows like this before. But our company hasn't. At least, not the way we want to do it, like a camp where all the bands stay for like a week or so and play all kinds of games.

It is a new idea and just a small concept, but today James and I will present it for the management. If they like it, we are allowed to shoot a pilot for it, to see if it works out the way we imagine it to. But if they don't like it, the idea will be thrown in the trash...

So, yeah, today is a big deal. And I am incredibly nervous. Normally I am not this nervous to present something, but for some reason today I am.

I look at my phone and see a text from Taehyung.

Tae ♡: Best of luck today, babe! I believe in you! You can always tell them that BTS agrees with your ideas ;) Fighting! ♡

I smile wide and take a deep breath. His words make me feel way more secure. But still I feel nervous and I have a little stomach ache. But everything will be fine. If they don't like this, we can always change it a bit till they like it.

James taps on my desk to get my attention. I look up and see him standing next to my desk with a small smile.

"Are you ready?" He asks. I sigh, "I feel like I'm gonna throw up... But yes, I am ready." James puts his hand on my shoulder. "You'll do amazingly," he says. I smile and quickly grab my notes. Thank god I printed all my notes earlier today. I can't do this without my notes.

James and I walk through the halls to the conference room. Mitch waits for us outside the room and smiles at us. "Right on time, they are ready for you," he smiles kindly. He looks at us both, but his smile disappears when he looks at me.

"Are you okay, Ali?" He asks me. I take a deep breath and nod. "I am, just very nervous," I tell him. Mitch nods, "Okay, you look a little pale." I laugh a little to hide my nerves, "I am okay, really." Mitch nods and smiles. "Okay! Let's go for it!" He says and walks into the room.

James and I follow him. The room is filled with five people in suits, looking very important. They all sit behind a huge table and look at us with strict faces.

James and I stand on the other side of the table. I put my notes on the table and smile at all the people.

"Good morning everyone, thank you for taking the time for us," I tell them first. "Let's introduce ourselves first, my name is James and this is my colleague Alyssa. We both are producers for multiple projects, such as Run BTS and the BangTang Bombs," James says.

Everyone nods and stares at us. "So tell us your idea," one of them says. James looks at me. "Are you okay to take the lead?" He asks softly. I smile confidently and nod. "Of course," I tell him.

I look at my notes one last time before looking back at the men in suits. "We came up with an idea for a new show. This show will be a chance for multiple bands to be together, get to know each other and work together. The idea of the show is that all the bands stay at a campsite for a week," I start, "They all have their own tents, but during the day they will do all kinds of activities together. This way they get to know each other and can work together."
