Part Fifty-Six 오십육

"For the next award, we like to invite a special someone on stage," The host announces, "Put your hands together for Selena Gomez!" The crowd cheers and we all applaud when Selena Gomez walks on stage. She holds an award and a golden envelope. We all know what categorie is next: Artist Of The Year. A categorie for which BTS is nominated.

The entire crew looks at each other and we all hold hands as Selena names all the nominated artists. The entire room goes completely silent as she slowly opens the golden envelope. I feel the tension in the room. Since the room is also filled with a lot of ARMY's, we hope BTS wins. Of course we hope they win. I mean, we are their crew. We want our boys to win.

"BTS!!" Selena shouts, followed by a lot of cheers and screams from the entire room. We all stand up and applaud for our boys. In a reflex, Kaylee and I grab our cameras and take photos and videos of the guys. They all hug each other and bow to everyone as they go to the stage to get their award. As they walk past the fans to give some high fives, Kaylee and I quickly take a short cut to the stage to get the right position. As we focus our cameras on the stage, the boys greet Selena and receive their award.

"Wow!" Jin says through the microphone. He holds the award in his hands and looks at the ARMY's. "Thank you so much!" He says, "We really, really couldn't do this without all of you!" He quickly passes the microphone to Hoseok. "ARMY!!! This is again proof that you truly are the best fans in the world," he says, "This past year has been incredible and we can't wait to finish it like a firework!" Since there is not much time for very long speeches, they quickly pass the microphone.

Taehyung steps forward. "ARMY! We are so happy to be back in the USA again! Thank you for your great responses so far and we can't wait to show you what more we have in store for you," he says, "You are our universe and you always will be. There is no BTS without ARMY. Thank you! Borahae!" They all applaud and cheer as they scream "ARMY!" "Borahae" and "Thank You" all at once.

They say goodbye and leave the stage. Kaylee and I also quickly return to our seats. "I bet you get amazing footage of all of that," Yana says. "Of course, but that is easy with these guys," Kaylee laughs. When the guys also return to their seats, they look at Kaylee and me. "Thanks for running with us, ladies," Yoongi winks at us. We smile wide and bow to them. "Our pleasure. Congrats guys!" Kaylee says.

We quickly take a seat when the next announcement starts. "For the next award, please welcome the amazing Louis Tomlinson!" The crowd goes crazy when Louis Tomlinson walks on stage. He too holds an award and an golden envelope. The smile on his face lights up the entire room and I feel my smile grow. I have been a fan of him for years, so I feel honored to see him like this.

"Thank you, guys!" He smiles, "Today I am here to present the award for New Artist Of The Year. So let's take a look at the categories..." As all the nominees are shown on the big screens, I quickly scroll through all the photos I just took. "Ali, ATEEZ is nominated!" Yana tells me. I nearly drop my camera. "ATEEZ?" I ask and look at the screen. Indeed, they are nominated for this award. "Didn't they debut in 2018?" Kaylee asks with a small smile. Yana and I nod. "Yes, they did, but they are since this year a huge hit in the USA," Yana explains. "The USA is always late with these kind of things," I joke.

We all laugh, but focus on the screen again. "Damn, I hope they win it," Yana tells me. "Same!" Kaylee and I immediately answer. "The winner is..." Louis says as he opens the envelope. "ATEEZ!" He calls. Yana, Kaylee and I jump up and cheer. A few rows in front of us, ATEEZ and their crew jump up - with a little confusion - and quickly go on stage.

Yana, Kaylee and I keep cheering for them and applaud as they receive their award from Louis and bow kindly to him. Louis congratulates all of them and takes a step back to let the members do their speech.

"Wow! We never expected this!" Hongjoong - the leader - laughs into the microphone. All the members stand behind him and look excited, relieved and surprised. "Thank you so much to every single person who voted for us! ATINY, thank you so much! We love you!" Hongjoong says. ATINY is the name for all their fans, just like BTS has their ARMY.

"ATINY, together we had an amazing year," Yunho - one of the members - continues, "We are amazed by your respons to our new comeback. This award means a lot to us, but we shouldn't receive it, because it is yours, ATINY!" I feel my heart melt at his words. San - another member - jumps in front of Yunho to get to the microphone. "ATINY! We will come back even stronger and even better! More power, more fire and more dance! Thank you!" San says. "We love you!" Wooyoung shouts at the same time.

We all laugh at the chaotic, but very energetic situation happening on stage. Seonghwa - the eldest of the group - finishes the speech. "Thank you for having us, thank you for giving us this chance and thank you ATINY. You are our destiny, our future, our life and our succes. This one is for all of you. Thank you!" He says. They all bow and leave the stage again. The crowd goes crazy and cheers for them. Of course Kaylee, Yana and I cheer along with them.

Since we are the loudest cheers from the VIP-area, ATEEZ looks at us when they return to their seats. I see them laugh and bow to us, what we kindly return. "Congrats guys!" We shout. They smile wide and we get some finger hearts from them in return.

When we all get back to our seats, we have some other eyes on us. This time it is from our own team. "You're fans of them, aren't you?" Yoongi laughs. We nod and smile wide. "Of course we are!" I smile wide. "You nearly cheered louder than you did for us," Jimin notices with a laugh. We laugh, they might be right. But we will deny that.

Unintentionally, my eyes shoot to Taehyung, sitting next to Jimin. His eyes are on me and form a frown on his face. I can't help but feel a fire in bones. Is he really getting jealous? Is it that easy? Or is something else going on?

Before I stare at him, I quickly move my eyes away from him. I happen to see some of the ATEEZ-members looking at us. My eyes meet Yeosang's, the member I also had a little eye contact with during their performance. He smiles at me, what makes me smile back at him. I stick up my thumb to show him how proud I am for the award they just won. This makes his smile shine even brighter and he even gets a little shy. Then he looks back at me and bows his head. "Thank you!" He forms with his lips. He might actually speak the words out loud, but I can't hear him because of the noise in the room. I giggle and make a heart with my hands back to him, what makes him laugh again.

As the show continues, he waves at me before turning back around. I smile wide and feel my heart beat a little faster, but I also feel a pair of eyes burn on me. I slowly turn around and see Taehyung's eyes on me again. He didn't seem pleased before, but it looks like he is even less pleased now. As I look at him, he looks away within a split second, but I already saw what I needed to see. He is getting jealous... I feel the fire inside of me burn a little harder.

Maybe it is really that easy to get him jealous? I don't even know if I am making everything worse, but I actually don't care. I feel good. I am happy and I am enjoying myself. Maybe for the first time in a month. I decide not to care about him. 

Of course, I don't want to tease or hurt him on purpose, but playing like this, feels really good. I mean, I deserve it, right? He set me aside for Ye-Jun. He broke up with me because of his crush on her. He hurt me in the most awful way I could ever think of. I would say I am allowed to play with his feelings like this.

I've read the best way to get over your past love, is to move on to the next or have a one night stand. I am not at all saying that I am gonna do that. But now I understand the idea behind it. When I first read it, I thought it was insane. But being focused on another person, gets your mind off the other. Feeling love or flirting or kissing or even more with the other person, makes you feel good again. Because that is what love does to a person. So I understand it might help to do that to get over your past love. Not to forget, you might make a point to your past love. Or you might make your past love jealous...

But again, I am not saying I will jump on the first guy I see - especially since there are way too many too good looking guys in this room - but I can always keep it in mind. This little flirting might make me feel better about myself and in general. It could be my way to get over Taehyung and move on. Finally move on... Not to feel the same hurt again and not look at him that much... Yes, I would like that.

So without looking at him again, I enjoy the evening and I enjoy the show.
