Part Sixty-Two 육십이

It's been a few days since we arrived in Los Angeles. Since then we have been to the American Music Awards and we have filmed their new music video. The next thing on the program is filming a dance practice video for their new song.

So we are all gathered in the dance studio. The members are busy practicing the dance a few more times to get it all perfectly. Kaylee and me are preparing for the shoot by figuring out where and when to go with the camera.

"I think we should do a moving camera for this shoot," I tell Kaylee. "Yeah, I think so too. They move too much and the focus should be closer to them," Kaylee tells me. "Right, so we start in the middle at the front and then come closer to get their facial expression as well?" I suggest. "Perfect! And then we move to the right to get Jimin's dance in the frame," Kaylee says. "Yes, but then we also have to hurry back to the left so we can get Hoseok's dance," I tell her.

"Sounds good, ladies," Namjoon laughs at us. "It is not an easy dance, okay," we remind him, even though they are the ones actually dancing it. "You're kidding!" Yoongi laughs. They all practice the dance one more time. Both for them to get the steps right and for Kaylee and me to see where the camera should go. We both make notes to remember when and where to go. 

When they finished another practice, they all take a sip of water. "Great, guys! I say we take a short break and then shoot the video," Jesse says. "We can't promise you the shoot will go smoothly at the first try," Kaylee tells them. "Oh no, that is not allowed here," Jungkook jokes, "It has to be perfect the first try." We all laugh and Kaylee and I show Jungkook our middle finger with a smile. "Like you always do things perfectly first try," I tell him.

"Oh, I do," he says, "Only these guys don't. That's why our shoots always need more takes." He immediately gets a slap on his arm from Seokjin. "Hey, stop it you," he tells him. Jungkook just laughs it off. "It's true tho," he says, teasing Jin even more. Jin throws his water bottle to the side and starts to chase Jungkook. "Ya! Come here!" Jin shouts. Jungkook runs away and giggles loudly.

I secretly film them as they run around, chasing each other through the room. Jungkook tries to escape from Jin by creating a diversion, but he fails and slips. Jungkook falls on the floor and Jin immediately starts to hit him playfully. "You take that back!" Jin laughs. Jungkook laughs as well and tries to fight Jin off him. "No!" He giggles. Jin looks at his members. "Guys, help me with this brat," he says, but the other guys don't budge. "Nah, we're good," Namjoon says.

Because Jin is looking at the other members instead of Jungkook, Jungkook sees his chance. He grabs Jin's arms and pushes him off him. "Too slow, Hyung!" Jungkook laughs as he pushes Jin on the floor and runs away. Jin just laughs and stands up slowly. "Damn, I am too old for this," he laughs. But then he spots me filming him.

"Ya! Can you not film me like that?!" He shouts, but bursts out laughing. "Don't worry, Jin, you still look very handsome," I tell him. He laughs and walks back to us. "I know. I always do. I never doubted that," he says, making all of us laugh as well. "Of course," Hoseok laughs.

"Okay, guys, let's start the shoot in five minutes," Jesse announces. Everyone agrees so we all take a seat on the benches. But before I can fully sit down, Kaylee stands in front of me and grabs my arm. "We're gonna get coffee," she says. She pulls me up and drags me out of the room. "We are?" I laugh, but she keeps dragging me along. "Yes, I want coffee and so do you," she laughs at me.

We go to the machine to get coffee. Of course Kaylee knows I am always down for coffee, so she makes me one too. In the meantime, I stare out the window next to the machine. "Shall we make a bet how many takes this video will take us?" I joke. Kaylee laughs, "Yes! Of course! I bet it will take us... seven takes." I turn around to her and laugh. "No, I say ten takes," I tell her. "Okay, but no messing up on purpose," she says. I nod, "Of course not. We will do our jobs as always and we will see how many takes we need."
