Part Fifty-One 오십일

The next day it is finally time to go to my parents again. After five months of Facetiming, calling and texting, I can finally meet them again. I am very excited, but also a little nervous. Even though it has been over a month, I haven't told them about my breakup with Taehyung yet...

I know what their reaction will be. They will be sad, disappointed and angry. Especially my dad will be so angry. Of course, he didn't like Taehyung at all when I started dating him. My dad tried anything to keep us apart. From exposing our relationship to the press, to showing up and trying to fight Taehyung in order to take me home. Nothing worked, of course.

My dad saw that too. After nearly a year of fighting us, he finally gave in and gave us permission. He even showed up to our wedding! Thanks to Taehyung of course. He went to talk to my dad to convince him to come. Even when my dad hated him the most, even when I already gave up all the hope I had, Taehyung kept trying. Because he knew how much it meant to me. 

So my dad showed up at our wedding. But above all, he gave Taehyung his blessing. It was honestly the best wedding gift I could ever ask for. Since then, Taehyung and my dad started respecting and liking each other. Even though my dad was very stubborn and he didn't want to say it out loud, he liked Taehyung. They even started hanging out together and went to a few football games together!

But now... Now I know everything will break down again. I know my dad will be so angry when he finds out Taehyung broke up with me for someone else... I know deep down my dad will be devastated too, because he actually liked Taehyung... It will all be ruined...

"Are you sure you want to take all your toys, Yoonah?" Yana asks Yoonah. Yoonah stands in the hall, holding her suitcase and her bag. Tomorrow us, the BTS-crew, will go to the American Music Awards. Since the members will be performing as well, they need to be there in the morning to rehearse. The party starts in the evening and will probably go on until midnight or even after midnight.

So we decided to let Yoonah stay with her grandparents. Something neither of them disagreed on. It has been five months since my parents were able to spend time with their granddaughter, so they are more than happy to have her for a few days. And same goes for Yoonah. She is beyond excited to go to her grandparents again. I know for a fact that my mom treats Yoonah a little too well, but Yoonah says she loves to go there for more than that.

"Yes! I don't leave anyone behind," Yoonah says. Yana giggles and nods. "Okay, but you know I will take very good care of Kookie or Chimmy or Koya," Yana says. Yoonah smiles wide but shakes her head. "They are mine!" She says. "Okay... RJ then?" Yana tries. "No! RJ is also mine!" Yoonah says and starts to laugh. Yana laughs as well. "Okay, fine. I will find my own RJ then," Yana says. She pretends to be sad, what makes Yoonah whine a little.

Yoonah runs over to Yana and hugs her. "Awww, auntie Yana, don't be sad!" She says, "Your RJ is very close!" I feel my heart melt. Yoonah is so sweet and so cute! Yana hugs Yoonah as well and pretends to cry. "B-But I want yours..." She whines. Yoonah shakes her head, "I have my own! You should find yours!" "Okay..." Yana whines.

Yoonah lets go of Yana and smiles. "I will miss you, auntie Yana," Yoonah tells her. Yana smiles wide and kneels down for her. "I will miss you too, my amazing Yoonah," She says. They both hug again and I just can't stop smiling. Seeing my best friend being so close with my daughter... It means a lot. When Yana and I first became friends, I could have never imagined our futures to be like this.

The front door opens and Taehyung's head pops up from behind the door. "Am I still on time?" He asks, but when he sees me and Yoonah, he sighs relieved. "I was scared you already left!" He closes the door behind him and turns to Yoonah. "Hey princess!" He smiles. "Appa!" Yoonah cheers. She runs to him and hugs him tight. "Ready to see your grandparents again?" He asks her. Yoonah nods happily. "Yes! I can't wait!" She says.
