Epilogue 발문

~ Three years later ~

"Omma! Omma!" Yoonah comes running into the kitchen. I was just making some new cocktails as she comes to me with a wide smile on her face. "Here you are!" She giggles. She turns around and runs back out of the kitchen while she calls, "Jimin! She is here!" Within a second, Jimin comes into the kitchen as well. He laughs when he sees me with the cocktails.

"Here you are! What are you doing here? You are not meant to do this," he laughs. I laugh as well as I struggle to put eight cocktails on a tray. Jimin grabs my arm and carefully pulls me away from the cocktails. "Jimin, I am almost done!" I tell him as I try to get back to my cocktails. Jimin laughs, "Ali, it is your birthday party! You are not meant to take care of others, we should take care of you."

I laugh as he steps in front of the cocktails and faces me. He looks serious, but the smile is clearly visible on his face. I can't hold my laughter either. "Jimin, I was just trying to make some cocktails," I tell him. Jimin laughs, "Then you let me finish it." I roll my eyes, "They are already done, they only need to be served." Jimin nods, "Fine, then I'll do that!"

He happily turns around to the tray with the cocktails and carefully lifts it up. I look at him and laugh. Maybe it's for the best. Me walking around with eight cocktails on a tray? That is doomed to fail.

Together with Jimin, I go back to the backyard. The backyard is not what it normally looks like. I might wish it was though.

The yard is decorated with garlands and balloons. It is perfectly decorated for a birthday party.

We also put some tables in the yard, filled with drinks, snacks and cake. Close to the tables is a dance floor, made of wooden planks. Thank god Taehyung's dad had enough wooden planks for us. I wouldn't want all our guests to dance on the grass.

Of course, in font of the dance floor is a stage. When Taehyung suggested to make a stage in our yard, I really thought he meant a small stage. But no, he wanted a stage big enough to dance choreography on. And he got his wish, of course.

The dance floor is covered in people. But not just any people. No, my favorite people. I see James, with his wife and son, I see Mitch with his wife, I see Namjoon and Sooyoung with their kids Minho and Yeongja, I see Jin with his girlfriend Jaylin, Jungkook with his fiance Naomi, Hoseok with his girlfriend Jae-hwa, I see Jimin's girlfriend Cristina, I see Jesse and Kaylee and of course I see Yoonah on the dance floor as well, right next to Hanuel - Jesse and Kaylee's son. I even see Yana and Yoongi on the dance floor. They all seem to be having fun.

Next to the dance floor, I see Taehyung. He sits on a chair with our little boy Lucas on his lap. I can't believe Lucas is almost three years old. Our baby boy... Growing so fast...

Everyone seems to be having fun. How could they not when nobody other than ATEEZ is performing on the stage. Yes, Taehyung's birthday present to me was ATEEZ performing on my birthday party. And to answer your question, yes, I do have the sweetest husband in the world!

I feel very complete when I look at everyone in our backyard today. I see how everyone is having fun while ATEEZ is playing their amazing song Eternal Sunshine. Of course, Yoonah is close to the stage, dancing along with the ATEEZ-members.

"Where do you want the cocktails?" Jimin asks me. Right, I was bringing cocktails. "Follow me," I tell Jimin and he follows me to the dance floor. "Ladies!" I call and immediately my dear girl friends all come to me. I see their wide smiles on their faces when they see the cocktails Jimin is holding.

"Oh, don't mind if I do!" Kaylee laughs and grabs a cocktail. Jaylin, Sooyoung, Jae-hwa, Christina and Naomi follow immediately. I grab the two last cocktails and give the one with a different glass to Yana. "One 'Cuddling in the sand' for you," I say with a wink. Yana laughs and takes it from me happily. She puts her hand on her belly. "I have to say, it is very hard to not drink any cocktails because of this little one," she laughs.
