I looked at Quil smugly while he looked at me with a disbelieving look.

We've been at this for 2 hours. For two hours, Quil has lost round after round after round.

We were currently playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for X-box 360.

"There's no fucking way! You have to be cheating!" he accused.

"Or maybe you're just not as good as you thought you were." I teased.

"Give it up, Quil." Embry said. "Don't be a sore loser."

"Shut up and stop defending your girlfriend!" Quil yelled.

"Only you would get beat by a girl." Jacob said, giving him a noogie.

Quil shoved Jacob off him and gave him a dirty look.

I tried hard not to laugh.

"Quil lost again?" Paul said as he entered the living room.

"Yep." Jacob said, munching on a bag of chips.

Paul turned to look at Quil. "Pathetic." he said.

"Screw you!" he blew up. "Why are you even here, anyway? Don't you have your own group of buddies to kick it with?"

"Liz is here." Paul said nonchalantly. "Plus, Embry's mom makes good frybread."

"Don't you have your own mother to make you frybread?" Quil scowled.

Paul growled at him.

"Don't push it, Ateara." he threatened.

"Alright, calm down guys." Embry mediated. "I'm not going to let you destroy my mom's house."

Quil and Paul glared at each other.

I wanted to smack my forehead. Boys.

"You want try, Paul." I offered, grabbing the controller from Quil.

"Hey!" he complained.

I stuck my tongue out at him and motioned the controller toward Paul.

He looked down at the remote and slowly took it out of my hand. He then shot provoking look before moving to sit beside me.....very close.

I shifted a bit uncomfortably.

"Step aside, loser. Let me show how a real man handles business." he said arrogantly as he took Quil's place.

Quil looked at Paul with disgust.

He moved to stand by Embry who was staring at me and Paul.

I sent him a small smile before turning to Paul.

"Let's play a different game." I said, ejecting Call of Duty from the gaming system.

Paul shrugged his shoulders.

"Doesn't matter to me. Either way, I'll come out on top." he said with confidence.

"Wow, Paul. I didn't know you were so humble." my voice dripped with sarcasm.

"I know, I know." Paul said. "I do try."

I rolled my eyes and playfully punched his arm while he chuckled.

Digging through their games, I chose Forza Motorsport 2. I opened the case and inserted the disk into the box before returning to my seat.

Paul raised an eyebrow.

"A racing game?" he mused.

"What's wrong?" I taunted. "Scared you'll get beat like last time?"

He scoffed.
